Turn 1 Joseph intentionally bumps the back edge of the board to avoid closing on the enemy and staying aligned on the target. Scumbag pirates indeed! I'm so proud. :D
Interesting on the Pro Acryl wet pallet. I've been using PA paints with a wet pallet for a while and there are a couple of colours that tend to separate (Camo Green is the worst, it needs a really good mix before hand as well). I've never found it a problem though. My wife uses the same paints but with a dry pallet. She has just bought a wet pallet though so I'll ask her which she prefers.
Great waking up to another podcast. Nice to get updates across the map, and interesting that B&P is planning to go to 1812, last I heard end point was intending to be American revolution.
You can listen on Spotify or anywhere else you listen to audio podcasts! We find a lot of our audience listens on RU-vid so we release it here as well as a courtesy. It’s a little weird. But it’s just a podcast episode!
This year my local store has started to carry Firelock games products. The first shipment sold out in one week. With that said the store has grown to 12 players with Plunder games going on all day long on Fridays. Big shout out to Tylor Stone Quartermaster for putting wind in the sails at Lazarus Games in Harrisburg PA.
The Portuguese as a major power ! Very welcome news indeed , also very interesting historical information during this podcast , but im not sure about one thing , maybe i misunderstood because Fernando was talking about a specific region and a specific moment in history when Portugal got weaker , he said that the English or French would say that the Portuguese had resolve but not a lot of tactics when charging enemies in battle. There are various documented instances were the English stated that the Portuguese were very good fighters and great sailors , also i dont think one can simply build an empire and win numerous battles ( some of which against the French themselves ) even against the odds and later recapture possessions from the Dutch by just running at their enemy without tactics. Most probably some misunderstanding. Keep up it up guys !
How did you add the sail? I got a longboat to just ferry dudes around for my sloop and maybe use it to board other ships too. Never played before thanks :)
Piece of advice for those starting to acquire terrain. Always purchase quality, never go cheap looking. In the end, you will just end up tossing the meh quality pieces.
I was just introduced to Blood & Plunder 5 days ago. I already have my store ordering more things in so I can start. The gent that gave me the demo suggested your site and I started here. Sounds good so far. Thanks for all of the content. I have a lot to catch up on, it seems.
"Canadians are really good (audible pause) in this game." Eh, we are good in other things/games too, I mean, not great in Wargame: Red Dragon if playing us alone (for unfortunately accurate reasons), but other things. LOL, kidding. French in this book are right at the start of the time that I enjoy them. I kind of want to try the old make the same forces for Bolt Action and Chain of Command and fight the same battle twice to compare how they do, but with B&P and Muskets & Tomahawks. Get some brutal English vs French North American Frontier skirmishes on the table. Love the nation break downs you guys do. Keep up the great work.
Great report and format, thanks! Just so you know, whenever you see ‘shire’ at the end of an English word, it’s not pronounced like you do. It’s more like a ‘shuh’ sound. Not a criticism. Just thought it might be helpful!
Hmmmm, thinking: what is there in Milwaukee to keep my wife enthralled for the duration of Adepticon, and how many Frequent Family Points will it take to get us there from here in Sydney, in March? Hmmmm..... 🥳
The invite link has been added to the video description! Sorry about that. You can find full details and an invite link on Bloodandpigment.com as well.
For clarity the Summer of Plunder is for players of "Blood & PLUNDER" (not pigment 15:30) And it runs Sun., June 2nd - Sat., Aug 2th, 2024 (not October @15:55)... .in the future, Jason may not allowed to record videos after midnight. :D
Wow...this is an excellent video covering the convention! Looks like a lot action and good times in all the games. No Kraken??? Will there be a Blood & Plunder presence at Historicon in a few months?
No Krakens this year. Historicon is still under discussion. Blood & Pigment will not be attending and neither with Firelock Games. However, there are a number of Quartermasters attending and they are still tying to finalize what events they are running. =
@@bloodpigment5808 Awesome! I hope to jump into one game at Historicon if available. Love the historical scenarios you incorporated in the games...especially the Captain Morgan one...May be our theme for next years BIG B-Day Pirate game I hold every November this year is "Dead men tell no tales".
lol i am wife and husband just asked me to make this for his ship. is the fabric that you are adding gaff and reef lines on the one that includes 1/2” seam allowance?
