If milk doesnt come from the teat it's not milk. Braai is braai. BBQ is a flavour of a braai so bBq becomes nul and void. These savages need to learn braai is a serious affair. 😂😂😂😂😂
a trolley if you asked for that at Publix they might get confused you ask for it at the home depot they might think you mean 1 of thoes large cars they'd use to hull things on. They might ask so what are needing it for? Thinking you're buying big loads of stuff thats more easier to push then carry.

You must return to South Africa. I expect you are already considering this. I spent 30 years abroad and regret it. Don't make same mistake. Home is best
Do you keep the same ratio of ingredients for gluten free? I also noticed you don't separate the pieces to dry them out - other recipes I've seen say to separate them out.
Hi Helen, Yes, You can substitute with gluten-free flour and GF cereal . I have done this many times and they work out great !I would add maybe a little more sweetener , 1 cup of sugar or some honey . I have also made them with no sugar at all and they also worked out fine. This recipe is very adjustable ......every batch works out differently and never fails. GF rusks dry out much faster and often doesn't need much 'drying out' Yes, you can take them out and seperate the rusks to dry them out .....totally up to you!
Hello ladies, love you vlog! I also found the language so different, l thought the very same thing, at least they spoke English so it wouldn’t be so hard to adjust. The difference is that they speak American English and not the English (British) we all grew up learning, they simplify things, take for instance the spelling of a lot of words:- colour is color; neighbour is neighbor; night is nite, after 24 years I’ve learnt to embrace it 🤓
Hello Jenni, l just stumbled across your RU-vid channel, whilst searching for SA rusk recipes. Just listening about your families journey to America, has rekindled so many memories, I too am an ex-south african, 24 years in the making. Thanks for sharing your story 😍
I think this particular South African accent sounds very pleasing and proper. Is this the typical English speaking accent there, is there a name for it? As I know there are many accents from your country. Sad situation in your homeland now.
I think South African English is more formal and bombastic. hence, American English is more informal and straightforward. For instance, compare the presidential speech between S.A & U.S.A. S.A would rather use "precisely" than "exactly", "commence" than "start", "peculiar" than "weird" and so on... My intention is not to offend anyone!!!
