The most important thing in life is what we do and why we do it.That is why I am always interested. Why do people try to idealize themselves from the crowd? And in this situation, does it simply make sense or not? Will it impact anyone's standard of living? The question, or rather how we ask, matters. Are Mexicans Native Americans? Are people from Mexico Native Americans? The answer is simple because we ask and answer generally. Mexicans are not Native Americans. People from Mexico are Native Americans. Don't make your life difficult, and try to love people because they leave so quickly.
Most American dont even know what a Mexican is, call other Americans, Mexicans, call Mexican Spanish, in Mexico they dont think there Spanish, they think there Mexicans, becouse they are, even call meddle eastern, Mexicans, there all mixed up
Once upon a time all Native Americans were 100% pure on their own land. Then they invaded and desecrated their land and claimed it as their own. And if that wasn't enough, they invaded and desecrated their race and claimed it as their own.
First and foremost, Mexican is not a race. The majority of modern Mexicans are native Americans who are descendants from the ones who were forced to speak a white man's language (Spanish).. Aside from the dirty Europeans forcing the natives to speak their language ( Spanish), they also raped the native women, they stole land, destroyed native people with their filth, and convinced the native people they are not native. Samething happened to the natives of Modern united states, their ancestors were forced to speak a white man's language ( English), and the women were raped
It all depends upon how much Native American ancestry and DNA they have. I have 15% Native American DNA but that's certainly not enough for me to claim that I'm a Native American. Sadly, in Mexico, the more a person looks Native American, the more they're discriminated against by the whiter skinned Mexicans. (Not in reference to all whiter skinned Mexicans but yes a large percentage of them)
Americans hate east indian because they are scammers the country of India is plagued with scammersthats on group and Americans hate American Indians because they are a hatefully people they murdered and raped to almost extermination.
Yea we are Native American. But for some reason I see a lot of Eastern United States Native Americans claiming the title for themselves only. I see some commenting in this very video. I also met a group of U.S Native American people who straight up denied me as Native American just because Im Mexican. I explained that Native American refers to the American continents which to which a large portion of my Ancestry is native to. They still denied me. However they were white washed lol. They told me themselves they were half white which was fairly apparent.
Geronimo, wouldn't agree with Mexicans being Native American, he hated Mexicans who killed his Mother, wife and Children. GERONIMO WAS A REAL AMERICAN INDIAN
Okay and? Geronimo also hated the Anglos and other enemy tribes of his people. Regardless he doesn’t hold a monopoly on whether Mexicans are natives or not. Our genetics speak for themselves. Millions more indigenous Americans in Mexico than in the US today.
Great video and yes, we are all the same people all the indigenous people from the south America central America North America. We are all the same people very very true and thank you for sharing. I am Mexican, and I am very proud of my indigenous Native American blood. !
I'm Mexican and identify as native. My tribe is Huichol which is a tribe that straddles the California Mexico border. We roamed our territory from Central California to Baja California for centuries before they drained the lakes and swamps and erected the border. Historically we share territory with the Mono, Yokut, Tachi, and Mojave people but we are not federally recognized. All of my family and everyone we know in our tribe consider themselves native. The census in Mexican neighborhoods does not always reach households. Often that happens is the census is sent to the local school district and they will choose your ethnicity for you which will almost always be white. This is a way to strip us of our culture and is also used to deny us the aid and reparations that we deserve from both the Mexican and American governments. Most Mexicans I know are proud of their native roots. And I don't know a single one who considers themselves white. Even the mixed ones with the wavy hairy and colored eyes are still proud of their native/Mexican heritage and usually do not consider themselves white. This has started to change as the problem has come to light but it takes time to get the word out. I've heard some natives do not consider Mexicans native people simply because some of us have Spanish blood. So do some of you as well as British blood. The only difference between my people and yours is that you were subjugated by the Brits and the Americans, and we were subjugated by the Spanish, the Brits, and the Americans. One of your favorite folk heroes Geronimo was from Mexico and proud of it. Pancho Villa led the indigenous revolt against the Spanish-controlled government in the Mexican Revolutionary War. Mexico is a predominantly native country and is entrenched in native culture. I don't understand why so many other natives can't see this. But when you get ousted from the rez where do y'all move to? Our neighborhoods. I wonder why? California tribes understand this. It helps that most of them are Aztecan tribes. Federally recognized Aztecan tribes by the way. They treat us much better than the rest of you. Is it jealousy because if you think about it we are by far the biggest tribe if you count all the Aztecan tribes? Just curious. It's definitely not because we haven't fought against the white man enough. I know that. And we are known as the toughest hardest working people on earth. Maybe that's why? Hmmmm....
It is strange that people do not do their research ... We know that most modern-day Mexicans are mixed - "Mestisos", but honestly, Mexicans are not a race, but a culture of people (DNA does not lie) from a region of the world with thousands of years of history. People make it sound like Mexicans are somehow more different than the rest of the Natives in the Americas ... and like anyone in the world, there are there are different mixed people, just depends on your family linage as well ... I find it hard that people are trying to Categorize the Mexican as anything else - Strange!
my dads side of the family they were told we were apache since his grandmother was jicarilla apache but never practiced the culture we identify as mexican but should i start reconnecting??
The only ones who struggle with this subject are Indians in the US ( and a lot of first generation Mexicans born in the US)is almost like they don’t use common sense. Like they believe that America is only the US and that they’re the only American Natives, it’s kind of sad to be honest
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I found it incredibly fascinating that you found a lot of similarity between your people and indigenous people from Chile. I'm presuming that the latter were Mapuches. Were you able to learn some words in Mapundungún when you were in Chile. Perhaps Mapundungún and Zuñi are also linguistically related.
CRI Genetics did an Advanced Ancestry Analysis of my DNA & found among other things AdMix American ancestry stretching from Argentina to Mexico as well as Puerto Rican Taino (an "extinct"* tribe). * = Administratively extinct (via "paper genocide").
Thats why american native tribes are kicking 'black' of dows role. Even the ones that live on reservations today, hunted, abd fished on traditional grounds. 1828 websters definition of American= Copper colored aboriginal tribes found here by the european.. Also Powhatan tribes getting their land back. Greed even in ancient relatives. Peace
Theres more native blood in some mestizos than native people with status up here in Canada. They just have a mixed culture. Theyre mestizo and have both indigenous and spanish blood.

My biggest numbers are Nauha, then Otomi and little Iberian. I look very native.
I am Shoshone, I consider them Indian, so they’re not full bloods, neither am I. (In fact I can’t say that I know any!). My native language is a Uto Aztec dialect, and I know other dialects of the same language are spoken in Mexico. I’ve gone out of my way to learn Spanish, although there are many different varieties of Spanish, we can communicate. (I can speak Castilian Spanish, which can be understood). I think it’s pretty cool.
My grandma used to tell me stories about how they were Apache. They cross the river when being chased by the government through El Paso some state south of El Paso in Mexico and some when Eastwood towards Laredo, Texas can you tell me what Apache tribe ended up Mexican side of Laredo, Texas. Thank you.
I believe it was her ancestors that cross the river at El Paso, Texas, not her, but I’m not sure anymore. I’m almost 60 years old so my memory fails me some.
Yes you are an blacks are you brothers also the one who fits this in the book 📖 (Deuteronomy 28:68) there are 12 tribes that he love look this up an help grather your self together 💯💯💯💯💯🫵🏾 (Zephaniah 2:1) we blacks in America we love you
Yeah, I think most Mexicans just consider ourselves Mexican as opposed to being from a single native tribe. Meaning, we don't really know of which tribe our Native DNA came from - all that got lost in time due to the persecution of Native Americans and with the Integration with the Europeans in the region, mainly the Spaniards, that happened for hundreds of years. I would say the majority (possibly over 90%) of Mexicans are mestizo's to different degrees and percentages, and very few would know of their European or Native American lineage, because normal folk usually don't document any of that - we barely know of our family one or two generations back. We can take all the DNA tests we want to see what percentage lies where "race-wise," but in the end - our ancient identities got lost and go replaced with being Mexican - independent of any color of our skin. We are just a mixed bunch.
This is such an interesting topic. I am an American Mexican descent, and every time I have to complete any government applications I do not resonate with the Caucasian box. Most people don’t understand that Mexican is not a race. I want to mark Native American, but I don’t know what the requirements are for that. Thank you for your insight.
I do believe that Mexicans are Native American too remember the only reason we are called Mexican is because of the Spanish and the indigenous peoples got mixed so there’s where the mestizo come from. A white European and an indigenous people so yes I believe that Mexicans are Native American people too…
In order understand such a question, one must first understand history, and other scholastic subjects that conclude such an answer. Mexicans are mixed with European, and Mesoamerican genetic traits. Europe is full of diversity, along with Asia and eastern countries. Before the Spaniards conquest, Mexico was full of indigenous humans who are considered native to that region. Mexicans are native and European, whether they like to admit it or not, unless they come from the indigenous land that they were accustomed to, and have pure indigenous genetic makeup without Spanish decent! Although heritage, culture, and history are important, there is only one race, which is the human race! The human mind is conditioned to think in militarily terms because of the long history of conflict that has been imbedded into our innate nature throughout history, which allows ourselves to look through a lens of differences which is the number one leading modern issue amongst apposing sides of other countries of our time (e.g., BRICS, and/or NATO), but the reality is that we are all biological systems that have neurological processes that can conflict with the way one views reality, having more similarities then differences, when perceiving concepts through anatomical biological terms. The mind is indifferent from the rest of the material world, so understanding thought as a biproduct of historical conditioned circumstances that accumulate into dogma, or other forms of misconceived notions without empirical evidence, helps to understand the misunderstood. Humanity is becoming so diverse, that the higher the human population grows, the more watered down a pure race becomes, blending more races into others, what we see now a days. Interracial couples are becoming more and more common as our human race becomes that much more diverse.
It seems like you’re likely talking about the Mapuches in Chile/southern Argentina. I definitely see the similarities you’re mentioning with their clothes and jewelry! Interestingly enough, we now know New Mexico and Chile have the two oldest documented Indigenous presences in all of the Americas in White Sands in NM and Monte Verde in southern Chile!
So this land California and other states were once Native lands right? Before others invaded this land and claimed it theirs, it was full of Natives. Then California to Texas and parts going north were Mexico before they became US. So if this place was first belonging to natives and you have “Mexicans” whose families have been here before this was called US, California or anything else. Why would they not be considered “Native?”i understand why people are so interested in this but we need to look into our history. Even family history.
