Just put sway bar bushings torque them down the end of the sway bar bushings and getting ready to do knuckle bushings and every other part on the rear end do I need to lower it to the ground before I torque everything down???????
If adding grease ever oil change, would that over stretch the boot, as you previously cautioned. I prefer to purge my grease until only red and tacky is coming up. The only problem is the quality of some boots
I love my 2000 306 Convertible but its not without grief. I need a new track rod end and new front tyres balancing. Virtually impossible though as nobody does centreless wheel balancing anymore. I get loads of nice comments on my car. It's in great condition and Ii ook good in it
Hi there nice info! I'm searching for u-joint, as in driveline, comparisons. Do you know anyone who has compared wear, load abilities, and resistance to operational grime with OEM new u-joints and a few popular aftermarket brands too? Like Moog to Spicer to Toyota to GM, etc. I am especially interested in tests between the same size of competitive brands of both sealed and re-greaseable universal joints. Thanks!
Currently greasing your PROBLEM SOLVER ball joints to try and squeeze some extra life out of them because the boots have all split after less than two years and 20,000 miles! Huge disappointment. I paid a premium for your parts that *might* last me 1/4 of the life of my OEM ball joints (if I'm lucky). Never buying Moog again.
*MOOG* screwes you over when it comes to their sealed units... my new control arms with ball joints are painfully obvious that theres NO grease in the boots... at all. And my lovely sway bar links have no grease from factory at all in them.. good job saving 3 cents worth of grease by not putting any in. Im cob jobing a syringe full of grease to slip past the boot and get SOMETHING in there. You can pinch the boot and feel rubber on metal it dosent slip or slide like anythins in there and mushing the boot around produced no visible or tangible grease... not impressed for the cost moog. Getting cheaper in quality
What about greasing a U joint after it’s installed? You’re not going to remove the U joint so you can remove the cap so you can grease it, are you? Can’t you just grease it through the cap, while it’s installed?
He said get it greased with every oil change. Well... i had mine replaced a while back and have had several oil changes since then and never greased the u joints. Now my truck is squeaky and clunky. So I guess for good maintenance find a shop that will do it i suppose. I am trying to figure out how to do it myself if possible. What kind of oil etc
Yeah you can grease it while installed, just as you can with bal joints etc. I think he was just pre greasing it while off the car to ensure it was through all the parts, not going on dry.
My 95 Civic has quite a bit of play on the steering wheel while driving. At speed beyond 85, the wheel shakes. Car has recently replaced tries so it should be balanced. The rack was replaced 5 years ago with a reman. your thoughts on what I should check to find the culprit? thank you!
Yeah had warped rotors but they would also effect braking. And I feel that happens only when you brake. When driving it completely fine. Could be wheel bearings as well.@@zzpeepeepoopoo88
Check your strut mounts first by bouncing car or rocking. See if the top of the strut nut moves around in the rubber. After check the condition of tie rod ends, control arm rubber, ball joints, and sway bar links. The front strut mounts are most likely the problem if you been hitting pot holes and is easy to check just lift up hood.
Great tip! Not cramming a ball joint into a severely rusted or otherwise rough hole seems like common sense to me, but we all know what they say about common sense.
Did I just spend time to watch a ford raptor make a left hand turn and splash through a little mud puddle with more footage of two adult males eating wings and beers? I’m betting there was a lot more R&D accomplished but your marketing department has taught me to never waist my time on watching any more moog videos.
YOU KNOW , YOU MIGHT THINK YOURE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG BUT ITS NOTHING TO JOKE ABOUT! AND IF YOU DONT KNOW JESUS,. ITS REALLY NOT FUNNY AND CANT BE MOCKED!!
Thank you for the video. I haven't used my washer in 2 years. The other day I got it started after cleaning the carborater and plunger and emptying any old gas. It started and then I closed shop for the day. Two days later with fresh gas, it wouldn't start. I rechecked the plunger, it was fine, I then sprayed the foam filter with gumout, and it started right away, after a little black smoke and the engine putting, the engine finally kicked in and sounds like it should. Thanks again.
My old stock Toyota 4x4’s do those paths easily. Even with water coming under your feet in the floorboard. No big tires or high HP either…and still drives to work on Monday morning (with a/c)! BUT, that truck being driven in this video is much more comfortable and nicer!
