After almost 1 year without playing Wilds got me hyped and i went back to world Trying to kill this mf solo. The thing that gets me the most is how frustrated and demotivated i get after failing. Because it's a pretty long fight so i feel that i just threw 20 minutes on the trash yk. edit: i had stopped trying it for today. But suddenly wanted to try again. Opened the game and did it first try lol. You helped a lot man.
i used all the demon souls i had before i saved him and it seriously pissed me off realizing i will never learn these spells. and the game doesn't tell you not to use them, they just say some can give you magic or weapons so anyone would think using them would give you these rewards...
I’m still stuck on this guy. Have full safi gear and weapons (insect glaive main). Great decos. And I still can’t kill this damn dragon. I don’t even get to the big boom. He just two shots me regardless of armor.
Is it really smoother to use safi set than true crit element set for someone learning this fight? TBH I'd be more likely to recommend a standard TCE set.
Dude I can't thank you enough, I am just after beating Alatreon after something like 30 attempts over the past week because of this video. I used this exact same build (including the palico build) but with the Charge Blade and using Savage Axe mode. This build is an absolute beast for elemental topples and Damage. I am so happy I now am past this guy and can now attempt Fatalis.
Using words like "simple and easy is so aggrivating to hear when your on your 47th attempt and 150 deaths in and still dying to his phase one. This monster is just not fair at all. Evertime you clutch claw it perfeclty counters. Everytime it hits you kight as well just stop playing coz the next attack is undodgeable. So tempted tp just stop playing, love this game so much but stuff like this is just not fun for a casual player.
Try not to worry about using the tenderizing mechanic in this fight unless you have a clear opening. You honestly don't need it if you focus on hitting the head or the front claws. Sorry you're having a hard time. Try to be patient and learn some of his openings to counter-attack and you'll be able to beat him. Good luck!
It's just an annoying ass fight, I didn't had much issues through the whole playthrough before the stupid brachy and this thing.. it's just insane how aggressive those are, but with alatreon it's even worse
You should use his aggressive nature against him. Everytine he does an attack, he leaves himself open to counterattacks, learn his pattern and attack through his many openings.
Fought him 6 times, only dying to his escaton attack each time. I break both his horns and tail every time and I think he stays in fire form even though he uses ice attacks so not really sure and nothing else is difficult but I spam jerky when he's about to escaton all over the place, my health drops too fast even with speed eating 3 and all guides are just saying to use two jerkys and their health doesn't deplete as fast as mine even though I've broken both horns. I've beat him before with 600 ice attack longsword before when he first came out but now using a completely better build with Safi ice glaive, I'm not reaching the escaton threshold. This build focuses more on survivability and ice dmg with ice attack jewels, speed eating, stun resistance, health boost and tool specialist instead of the usual crit eyes, weak exploits, crit boosts, agitator and attack boost jewels
After you defeat him the first time, you actually unlock 2 rotating versions of the fight. Unlike the first urgent quest that always started in fire mode, one quest starts in Ice mode and one starts in Fire mode. The quest names are different. I don't remember which quest name corresponds with which element it starts out with but based off of what you are saying, it's likely you are fighting the one that starts with Ice element which means you are probably doing 0 elemental damage at the beginning of the fight if you are using an Ice weapon on it. Just make sure you are fighting using the opposite element that he starts with and you should be able to win.
You need to meet the elemental damage threshold to have a chance to survive Escaton. Breaking the horns just prevents him from switching to the opposite element.
@@lordbruh3307 You don't need that much element to beat the element threshold. If you're going with Fire, maybe try Silver Rathalos LS. That should work better.
Is this still up to date with the build and can u use dragon instead becuse i got him once with a squad and i wana solo him but i had a trash build with raw damage and they did the element cap
Watched this this morning, after an evening of poor results trying this fight. Got as close to the build as I could. Killed myself every time before the Safi regen kicked in, but you are not taking damage when swinging like I did. Not sure what is different. Today's attempts were worse than yesterday's. Skill issue, I am sure.
Keep practicing! You can do it! And of course it goes without saying, try to make sure you land your hits. Sadly with this build, everytime you swing and miss, you get punished. I do have a different video with a non-Safi build you can try if this doesn't seem to be working for you. Good luck!
@@TwiliteTA Thanks. Tried that one as well. No better. Fight is pointless for me. Hassle is not worth the reward. If I'm not good enough after 400 hours, it is never going to happen.
I cant this guy calls alatreon easy... im on try number 29 with safi gear and kjarr ice augmented but i just keep losing 😃 Thx for the video ill try again in a month
Alatreon is a very fun fight. I honestly don't understand the hate towards it. It's very fair and balanced in my opinion. The mechanics of the fight aren't too complicated. It just requires you not to play like a potato for 5 minutes. That being said, you do unlock him pretty early so don't feel any pressure to defeat him right when you unlock him. He is an endgame Elder dragon after all and probably the second hardest fight in the whole game. Take your time, learn his patterns and make a decent build to take him on. Good luck!
Again a great tutorial that does not cover the storyline quest, where you cannot buff in the beginning. Also I somehow struggle more hitting him because he runs around like a freaking lunatic
I'm sorry but I have to ask if you've skipped some steps here. I made the same set, but watching this over and over again I cant help but notice you take way less damage than me when you get hit, and you hit the element threshold in no time yet I still cant get it. Also the alatreon in this video really seems to be on simple mode since even in fast-forwarded time it looks like it's just holding its head down for you to hit, yet in every match I try it runs around like a train or hovers in the air for most the fight. I dropped this game years ago because of how infuriating alatreon was, and was really hoping I could find I guide that could help, and still cant.
@@TwiliteTA I mean, I was literally glued to him and he still did everything to move away and not present the openings in this guide but whatever. Just another guide with a Dragon that only seems to have half the health, damage or ai as in the game.
Sorry about my last comment. I will try this build and update my comment. I only need to kill him once. Then I can and will SOS so people can help for speed kills.
Thanks a lot for this, I am like, the only person that plays mhw in Brazil, so getting a stable connection to complete the siege fights from a full continent away can be very troublesome, borderline impossible at times.
