Do you know of any aftermarket outlets that sell Otamatone sweaters or LED lighting trim or hairpieces & mustaches or kits to convert it to a really rad portable vape device*? How I play otamatone. Step 1: Get a otamatone Step 2: Hear a song untill you can hum the entire thing. Step 3: Convert the tune that you hum into your hands by instead of moving your vocal cords some way.Move your hands in the way you did to your vocal cords. Step 4: Remember that you have to put batteries in the otamatone and turn it on and set it mid to octave. Step 5: Repeat Step 4 Step 6: If you can't convert your muscle movent to another then this won't work for you. Step 7: Realize that you wasted your time if you can't do this right. Step 8: If you can learn this you can play any song. Step 9: You can stop reading this now. Step 10: Can you do it now?
It's the deluxe model, so it's bigger than the normal one, and has a few extra settings! I bought it on Amazon awhile back! There's probably several people still selling them on there, just make sure you find a good seller if you want to get one!
Honestly, I still have a lot of trouble finding the notes. 😂 I typically just keep playing a small part over and over again until I start to remember the hand and finger positions and motions. Then keep going until I start to remember larger parts of the song. Also, I’ve noticed that some of the notes are off-key even when I hit them right. And I heard somewhere that each Otamatone has a slightly unique position of the notes. So, I guess the only tips I can give are practice, and listening to the song you’re wanting to play on repeat while practicing! 😂 And have fun!
I typically put a song on in the background, and play along with it, to try to learn it by ear. Honestly, it’s pretty hard to tell where each note is on the Otamatone, and I heard that each one is slightly different with the position of the notes. I’d just listen for what sounds good, and then keep repeating it until you remember the correct positioning and motions! Also, some notes are naturally off-key on the Otamatone, so sometimes I have to settle on a slightly off-key note. But I think that’s part of what makes it so fun to play! 😂 Good luck, and have fun!
