My local reserve and on a good day there is so much to see. At the moment the Kingfishers are the highlight but there are plenty of Whitethroat, Reed and Sedge Warblers in the reeds. If you are lucky you can even see Water Voles. I personally like Insects and Butterflies and Dragonflies are abundant. Last week I captured a Bee Beetle, quite rare. Nice video and great pictures of the Kingfishers.
Oh wow a bet the Bee Beetle was an amazing sight !!! And you are right the Kingfishers are the highlight at the minute but there really is so much at the reserve !!!! Thankyou so much for stopping by and commenting, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
If it was your first visit Bempton never fails to leave an impact! I've had one successful visit and one ruined by my son who decided he had enough lol 😂
Ahhhh was an awesome experience for sure mate, will most definitely make this at the very least a yearly visit. The surrounding area is just stunning as well!
Was a stunning reserve mate and didn't even get around all of it, will be returning again on a less windy day for sure !! Haha sun ? What's that 😂 I'm off up to Bempton Thur-Sat and the weather forecast has changed 4 times in the last week haha, I give up !
Hey Kevin thanks for commenting, and thanks for letting me know about the Marsh Frogs ! There were so many of them on the reserve, really was great (noisy but great haha).
Haha, I had loads that I thought looked good in camera, but as per normal when I get home on the big screen I found the ones I thought looked the best had missed focus haha.
Thanks mate! Yeah it happened so quick and was probably over in about 30 seconds, I snapped away hoping and they looked ok in the camera, was pleasantly surprised when I got them on the big screen !!!
I have been to Lakenheath a couple of times . The last one I had an epic encounter with the Bearded Tit with fellow RU-vidr Steve Hedges . Great video 👏
Yeah granted I've only been twice now both times its been pretty quiet, I was expecting the Saturday to be quite a bit busier than it was but I'm not complaining haha. I should have really done Lackford Lakes afterwards but probably going to look there this weekend coming!
Awesome video as usual mate! The image of the reed bunting is genuinely beautiful and that buzzard at the end is actually a marsh harrier which is a fantastic sighting! Great stuff!
Thanks mate !!! Oh my days hahaha, I actually had a conversation with my wife when we got back and said "oh its a Marsh Harrier"!!! Why on earth I put Buzzard on the description I have no idea lol. Yeah I love Reed Bunting's stunning markings !!!
Thanks mate !!!! Yeah me too, was my fav of the day. Was right at the end where I was sat down having my coffee, there was an overturned tree and it just decided to hop on there as I was talking away ahaha.
Gotta love a mandarin duck! And hell yeah, I can't stress the importance of getting out there in nature and losing yourself for a few hours. Allow all your troubles to melt away. Great video mate 🤘
