I used to work as a site engineer before and most of the problems they have stated are common in construction industry. As the method of construction depends upon the client requirements, we choose different types such as design-build method or DBB method or any other integrated methods. But the traditional practice that is happening in India or Nepal is such that we encounter the issue with subcontractor. New approach, Clear communication, good relationship with contractor and sub-contractor, decades of experiences are some of the important factors that is essential in construction phases. Good video brother! very insightful and relatable. keep uploading. we love you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the reply sir, just a natural ventilation because city like Delhi we have very compact space and getting proper ventilation is very difficult.
Unfortunately, not a very enterprising job at the beginning but you will have to upgrade yourself, education and memberships as you go on working. Good growth can be seen in 5 years if you work with a good plan.
Great podcast episode on civil engineering... It will help many students to develop interest in their works and I am proud to be SRM modinagar student and learn under your guidance...
Hello sir, I m from udaipur and I m a student of civil engineering final year, me and my all friends love your content. You are doing great work sir. ❤❤ I personally watch all your episodes after you had a great episode with Sir Ramanjeet walia.
First of all kudos to you brother , you are the only civil engineer podcaster 🙌 Happy seeing you evolving as a podcaster brother❤ Your podacts are resourcefull and spreading awareness in AEC industry. All the best 👍💯 Now with the BIM part Its really a game changer in the AEC industry. When i was a engineering student i was curious about it but there were no much resources and career guidance available regarding BIM. Its been 7 years i have been working as different roles like, site engineer, billing engineer, Sr site engineer to a project coordinator. Being a coordinator made me interact to all stakeholders and consultants daily for perfect execution on site , but believe me i have been doing it all manually writing them emails, sketches describing clashes like ceiling height and MEP services ,clash between window- aluminium folding screens - rolling shutter etc and then wait for their emails ,calls and reminders which really consumes my time, resources and delays. Last year i joined a online course by NOVATR @Novatr_official (got to know about it from your podcast @buildmatepodact ) its really a good course which is enabling me learn while i work and build good network with people in AEC industry. BIM is not just a tool its a process in which a structure goes through a entire life cycle from idea - planning to handover and Facility management. For Architects this is a game changing and disruptive but very useful for civil engineers too. We can extract quantities, schedules fr data rich models of REVIT. We can collabrate all models on a cloud platform with all consultants, import it to Navisworks and detect major clashes of various descplines like architecture - structutal - MEP and resolve them. Then plan and schedule project and resources in Primevera and then link it to your 3D model and create a 4D simulation model which will actually play your model libe according to your planning inputs. And then if you link the cost , estimation factor with it you can make a 5D simulation showing model - schedule - cost. The Open AI source for BIM is a tool/pluggin called DYNAMO. I am still on the learning mode and much more to come. In the conversation y'all mentioned about the implementation on site part. It was litreally a bulb on for me since i am working on site and learning this and connecting the dots. If there is really a demand to implement on site maybe i could be a potential candidate 😅 Please if you have connects or with Mr Siddharth Agarwal sir for the same please let me know.
Insightful ! Could you elaborate on how is Value perceived in the context of gaining more money at start up/workplace as people say what value you can bring to them is the factor for achieving outstanding career growth faster without being stuck counting number of work experience in years.. how to prove worth effectively without overworking or burnouts..
Your question is a mature one. Now, If the other person asking this question, understands the value behind the right attitude and a "coachable" individual in their team, they will hire you. Depicting requisite Skills, growth mindset and a team forward attitude will get your foot in the door. 100%
@@indiasno1constructionpodcast Got it 😊 Could you recommend me few books that can help also which Bim skills and software's should i learn and focus more on as i am a mep hvac engineer at present ? What would bring faster growth.. Site or Design work which to choose..
Today i made a trial and got over yield and was thinking how i should reduce the over voume to get the unit volume. After listening this podcost i came to know that how i should adjust the yiekd. Thnks
Its s long term game. True growth and really great numbers start showing in 5-7 years and 10 years on you demand your worth. This is like in any other profession.
Boss, having a skill as good as BIM will make you stand out in any office/ company. Its like having an atomic bomb in a world where other countries have guns. Btw, you will have to constantly update yourself with tech and new practices. The idea is to stay ahead of the curve.
