According to Wikipedia, The Sega Call or the Sega jingle was first used in 1964 in Japanese ads predating the use of the current Sega logo (set in a Blue wordmark, the font is in Yagi Double) in Fall 1975-Summer 1976, and the debut of Sonic the Hedgehog in 1990-91, The Earliest known recording of it was in 1983 for commercials surrounding Sega's first console "SG-1000" and "SC-3000" but there could be a possibility that it appeared on commercials for Head On and Safari in 1979-80 since Sega made commercials for these games according to a Japanese Arcade industry magazine called The Game Machine.
