Hello everyone!!! Welcome to ENJOYTHESIREN911, my name is Viteri and I am a fire apparatus videography/photographer. I mostly film in Lower Hudson Valley, Westchester and New York, NY. I have a passion for taking photographs and videoing emergency services vehicles responding. Thanks so much for watching my channel, and I hope I can provide great content for everyone!
Nice catches! Oh man I totally get this situation, not sure if you've seen the video but Vancouver is waiting for one of their new ladders to be repaired so they leased this 1996 HME from the supplier. It's hardly ideal but is cool for us to catch on video!
@@enjoythesiren911 Yup. Ladder 10 was from Colton, California. Also, it's the 1st Q2B equipped truck in the Vancouver, BC fleet. However, they are chickens by not using the Q regularly.
I thought I was the only one who questioned that!! I mean my Department has a 2005 rig with all halogens but still it’s so weird!! I didn’t even know halogen lights could even be put on those newer rigs haha!
So if that's a spare, how does the ladder have Ladder 39's "Pride of Woodlawn" sign on it? Or can they disengage the "trailer" from the "tractor" on those things and put Ladder 39's ladder on a spare power unit? I thought the tillers were permanently attached instead of something like a fifth wheel setup. In any case, that's an old warhorse of a truck.
The company just has that ladder board saved from their old 1990s rig that they kept and they put it on whatever spare rig they get. And yes, as far as I know the tiller trucks are permanently attached together.
Although since I was the Fire Chief in my local VFD from 1983 to 1985, I am partial to our apparatus of 2 Ward LaFrance pumpers (1969 & 1971 & a 1970 Stephen Tower Ladder), I very much enjoy watching the younger fire fighters of FDNY. Thank you for the video.
I don’t blame you one bit! That was when Sutphen and LaFrance made real engines and trucks! I owned my own 1965 Seagrave Engine for 24 years and it was pumping 1500gpm on the day I said goodbye to it!!
