@@PaoloMarelliGuitar If I play an SPD sitting down it's fine. If I have to play for 45-1.30 then it's a killer on my ankle. However - using a regular BD pedal and a KD7 pad is much more comfortable. Thus 100% of videos on YT of people playing stomp boxes are sitting down 100% of the time. Haven't seen a single video with someone playing upgright,. Not one. Would be great if you could share a link of someone STANDING UP playing a stomp box! Have a great day!
@PaoloMarelliGuitar

@@HappyDays-l7l I think that the movement using a normal kick pedal is a little different as you don’t have to overextend your foot as much. With a stomp box you kinda have to overextend, for me having something under the heel to get level with the edge of the stomp box helps, but I purposely avoid having more than 3 song in a row in which I play it otherwise I get tired and it hurts (I always play standing up live). I know a few people that turn the stomp box the other way around and stomp it with the heel and they all say it’s easier

@PaoloMarelliGuitar
@PaoloMarelliGuitar 11 дней назад
Unfortunately I don’t really have tips, mine connected immediately but my iPad is a USB C one. The only thing I can say is make sure that the stomp is updated to latest firmware and the adaptor is an original one, Apple is picky about those
@emersonmann4821
@emersonmann4821 4 дня назад
That tip worked! I have one more question: I am also using the Morningstar and HX stomp. I tried using a usb hub, to plug in my devices but it really affects the sound of the HX stomp. I noticed in other comments that you are plugging in the Morningstar to the HX stomp via midi, but could you specify: What cables are you using? Which ports are you plugging them into? How do you get midi signals to pass through the hx stomp into loopy pro?
@PaoloMarelliGuitar
@PaoloMarelliGuitar 4 дня назад
@@emersonmann4821 Glad the tip worked. The cable is a normal 5 pin MIDI cable and goes from the MIDI OUT port of the MC6 to the MIDI IN of the HX Stomp. In the MIDI setting of the HX Stomp, you need to set USB MIDI and MIDI through on and that will allow the messages from the MC6 to the iPad

I can't come to understand how, if the QC is only sending midi out, that the audio is looping on the QC? or is the audio and midi sent to the ipad and you use it's sound out? It must be that.

All the looping is done in the iPad in this case. The QC sends midi and audio to the iPad and then back to its outputs

Ciao! GRAZIE
@PaoloMarelliGuitar
@PaoloMarelliGuitar 2 месяца назад
@gianfrancosalvio7440
@gianfrancosalvio7440 2 месяца назад
@PaoloMarelliGuitar
@PaoloMarelliGuitar 2 месяца назад

Just bought the STB1 on your recommendation, a bit disappointed as the button is very sensitive to the position of your foot, you have to work pretty hard to make sure you hit it actively the same way each time or the volume is drastically different. Obviously can’t comment on whether the other two are better for this but we warned, I’m not that impressed with the STB1.
@PaoloMarelliGuitar
@PaoloMarelliGuitar 3 месяца назад
Position is quite important on all the stomps I talked about, like any other instrument they need some technique. I personally don’t find it hard to play the STB1 but I find the fact that the are of triggering is small an advantage because it limits triggering it by mistakes. But I understand that what I like might not be the same for others

Unfortunately you cannot do it yet with the QC, the MIDI signal you send from the MC6 to the MIDI in pin of the QC is not sent through to the USB port. One final question. How would the Midi Master work to connect the MC6, Quad Cortex & iPad (Loopy Pro) together? Would you need a Midi splitter cable connected to the MC6 with one end connected to the Midi Master which would allow the MC6 to control the ipad (via bluetooth) and the other end of the splitter connected to the QC so you can also send midi to it? Would that work?

@mandolin-george-uk when using the HX stomp as the audio interface the software in the iPad becomes the mixing desk. And the. From those outputs I go into a PA speaker or an amplifier

@@PaoloMarelliGuitar Thank you - Paolo - Very helpful and good of you to come back to me. If I dont have the HXstomp and instead rely on loopy pro plug in s aUv3 ins etc - can I use the interface as a mixer to mix loopy pro out puts with my voice and guitar inputs. So the audio line outs from the audio intereface are then routed straight to amp like a mixer? I cant work out if i need a mixer somewhere in the chain or just use audio interface to amp with ipad connected via USB C ? I suppose im asking if an audio interace can be used for playback live (instead of just for recording to DAW)

Yes indeed you can use just the USB C interface, that’s actually what I mostly do with my duo

Why they can’t do normal detect chords from audio input….like in boss ve 8. So shame

That would be so handy, but I guess it needs a lot of processing power
