I have honestly watched this video over 100 times in the past 2 or so years, and I swear, it still makes me cry EVERY TIME! Such a beautifully pure musical moment. Today's gushing courtesy of the sobfest I'm having in my car (in my garage) after watching this 3 more times! 😂
My high school theatre director just emailed this to our whole cast, as we are opening this same show in less than a month, and...just wow. Completely speechless and overwhelmed by the magic of theatre. Bravo.🎭❤️
As a cynic, my first thought was... staged... but it's really not. The way everyone speeds slightly up without the playback (trust me... happens every time music cuts out) and the endless waving of the conductor. It's not fake... and not only is it not fake, it's epic. the voices, harmony's and vocal power of the cast is wonderful... with or without playback instrumentals. Well done to the cast and crew of this show. And thank you for messing up enough for this to show up on my 'recommended videos' on youtube ;)
amazing!!! but if im the director of that play and that malfunction happened in audio there will be a meeting at the end that the audio-tech wouldn't like it because i dont spend time in months of practice just to be ruined by unrehearsed stuff or penny jack that should be replaced day before the performance thats what you call unprofessional. by the way congrats singer saved the day.
sometimes the fault doesn’t come from the people working tech. many things can happen at anytime in live theatre. I was doing lights for a musical and the old light board’s cable became loose (something that has never happened before to that board) and it wouldn’t stay in so I had to hold the cable in as tightly as possible because even the slightest movement would cause the whole stage to be in darkness.
This was a community theater production where the crew and cast were all volunteers. The sound crew were not in charge of the quality of the sound equipment
