Very good background interview with Myke Gray. Like it a lot. 🎵🎶Cool job! 🎵🎶 And what I also really like is the fact that he speaks so clearly about [his] intellectual property and the now commonplace rip-off of almost all creative people, artists in general, authors, innovators, etc. (not just in music). I had already discussed the example of the download portals and the inflationary publishing policy (motto: quantity instead of quality) of today's majors a few years ago with the editor-in-chief of the German Musikwoche. When I asked how one could feature certain artists with this mass of publications, he replied that it was no longer possible in this form. And the head of a large music publisher explained to me at the turn of the millennium that one could only really do something for selected individual artists. There were simply far too many acts. In our time, we built up our artists from scratch, stood by their side, became close-knit units, and went through thick and thin with them. And today? I think I'll spare myself the answer at this point. Nowadays, when young, talented musicians (I have a brilliant 15-year-old drummer on my radar right now, for example) come to me and ask what you have to do to be able to make a living from music, I always answer the same thing: first learn a profession that you can make a living from and start making music on a safe side track. Domo arigato, Myke Gray, for these clear words. They are mine too!
The bittersweethearts are the real deal. Had the pleasure of seeing them perform live recently and they're just as impressive live as they are in their video releases. One to watch for sure!! (edit) and so humble.
I was recently asked to join one of my wife's friends to an Avatar concert in Brisbane Australia. Although it wasn't really the style of music that I necessarily listen to, I went. I was literally blown away from the first opening song. For all of you that have doubts or reservations, go and see them! You might actually be pleasantly surprised :)
I love the it that the lyrics are not fully on a negative. Most music, I notice the most in Alterative is based on negative words. Avavatar has brought different words outside of that category.

As always a top interview. Alex Alicia has a investigative knowledge about the bands she speaks with yet her interviewing style is calming and infectious akin to just friends talking together. Great band , great interview 👏 🤘❤️
