How do I turn off the Windows Clock app alarm sound? There is no "none" to choose. I want the pop-up notification, but no sound.. The problem is that the sound keeps playing over and over and is very annoying if I am not right there to turn it off.
I went through the steps of this: Navigate to the following path: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences...EXCEPT I don't have a Preferences choice...all I have under Outlook is Logging and Profiles....thoughts?....besides I'm screwed?
I have an issue with Hyper V taking over my whole computer and removing Windows 10. So now when I boot it up, my mouse is disabled and the only thing that boots up is Windows Hyper V 2016.
Hi I have installed Office 2024 on all my machines running Windows 10 and 11 but I cannot get it to install on my main desktop running Win 11 Pro 24H2 build 26120.961. I have tried the MS Office scrub tool to no avail and get various errors such as "Not enough free space, no internet connection" and "OfficeClickToRun.exe unable to start correctly". It's driving me crackers. What am I missing? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated here in the UK.
Can I ask, "What about those handheld devices that I've heard they sell on RU-vid for around $10-100 Bucks, which they can use to neutralize your camera from the outside? By just walking by? Or, even an App also? I've even experienced this firsthand. My neighbors I am positive are using one. On 3x occasions or more, they have obliterated my camera where it would not pick up anything with 3 of them standing right in front of the camera, while I stood in front of them. My 2nd camera actually picked me up standing there by myself! As I stared at them. That camera was on Ethernet. The other camera was on Wi-Fi. I called RING up right afterwards, reported it. They went through the whole bit of rebooting, pulling the app etc. I told them it would do no good, because they had done it just 2wks ago. RING didn't even want to talk about Hacking, or etc. Since RING was purchased by Amazon! They have gotten was worse! Than even before. Before, they would even admit that hacking was a possibility, and would explain how that would work. Now, they don't even utter a discussion on it !! Amazon don't want to talk about it.
it pops back after restart whenever i delete it and it only has special permission box checked also after doing this command the account unknown id does not show among the list i am pretty sure something fishy is going on also my antivirus keeps demanding a password to scan regular .dll files. i'd really appreciate a reply this has been bugging my mind for a couple of months now
That was a fantastic explanation, and it's exactly what I needed to know. I have a large number of smart devices in my house, and I'm starting to run out of IP address. I'm running an Opnsense router, so now I just need to learn how to segment smart devices to 192.168.2.x, computers to 192.168.1.x, game consoles to 192.168.3.x etc. while allowing them to still talk to each other like they're on the same LAN. I know Google Home says it has to be on the same network as the devices it controls, so I have to figure out how to do this so my phones can connect to wifi on the 1.x network for example, but still detect and control devices with 2.x addresses. Off to the search bar I go!
Thanks, man, I got a job interview on Teams and I haven't used Teams since I left University. So getting used to the personal teams. want to be ready before I start so I am not messing around with having issues with my camera or microphone.
Hi Professor McMillen! I'm so sorry that happened to you. I saw your post on reddit and followed the link here to find out the story. Can you tell us what finally happened? Did Udemy take down the copyrighted course? Punish the hackers? And did they pay you for your ripped off lessons? Did they inform the students at Udemy who signed up? I guess I will steer away from teaching for them. Perhaps we need to check out other places like Skillshare, or Coursera too, to see what their policies are. I have a sewing channel on RU-vid and I once shared a video from RU-vid on a Facebook channel that I'd just joined for crafters who were supposed to be encouraging each other. I watched my RU-vid analytics going through the roof right after I posted there, and thought, oh, it is just really popular. But right after, I found the Facebook member had put the same sewing pattern which she figured out how to do, and put the garment she made (yeah, MY garment, MY pattern) on her channel and claimed to be the pattern maker. What really bothered me was she was saying, "oh, and when I make these, I usually do this and that" when I knew that she had never done the hard work at all and the pattern originated in my head, because I created it, not her. It took me a month to create that pattern. I wasn't monetized on RU-vid - not making a cent. She was. And she got many many views because although I did a better video of my pattern, the algorithm here favored her. I bet she has stolen other's work, too. But I wouldn't be able to claim copyright because she filmed the process herself. Even though I could trace her right to the Facebook group. BTW, in Australia, there is copyright on sewing patterns, even though there isn't in the US. People shouldn't assume that all countries work the same as the USA. We are supposed to follow the copyright laws of the country in which the content creator first published the material, even though our country laws might be different. Hence, I now don't allow embedding of any of my RU-vid videos (just to make it harder for them), I don't share anything that I've put my heart and soul into on Facebook groups, and I will probably do sewing reviews of other people's patterns (I always tell the original pattern makers, too) rather than any lengthy tutorials that I'm trying to sell. I feel that we should collaborate with others, because we are stronger working together to help each other. Very good video - thank you so much for putting this one out.
Nice video. the user account you login to vm was from Azure AD correct? Can we manage Azure ADDS without using Azure AD account and can we stop Azure AD user's synchronization towards Azure ADDS or its not possible ?
How to prevent the player from changing the order of playing the songs in the playlist???? Until recently, the songs in the playlists were played according to the order/turn that I set. Recently the player has "taken control" of the order and plays the songs of the list(s) in random order. I tried all the options in: Organize> Sort by>.... None of the options return the player to its previous function, there is no option: without sorting / my arrangement only!!! How to stop the player to change the order of the songs in the playlist???
When I create the guest additions VBox my amd64 file is a .exe file. The file icon has a little padlock on it and nothing happens when I try to run it. I am able to move files from my host to my guest but I cannot move files from guest to host. Any idea what might be going on?
This had been a big trouble for me. I hate to work in a window that doesn't fit my screen. I have not found the solution until I saw this video. This is a great fix

I have a question. If I only have 1 Azure Virtual Desktop is it possible for me to grant or restrict access to some local folders on the C: Drive of the Virtual Desktop. I have multiple people connecting via their Virtual Desktop Session I want everyone to access the folders on the C: Drive because they need it for accounting I just DON'T want them to copy/delete or do whatever they want with thoses folders. I know that I can't use NTFS permission in my situation. Is their any way to restrict access via the Virtual Desktop Session instead. Thanks in advance.
