Welcome to High Altitude Homesteading, where we try to produce content that helps you become a better homesteader and be more self sufficient no matter what your situation is. We practice urban homesteading on less than 1/4 acre (it's really just a big-ish yard...), and we strive to produce the most food that we can. We chronicle our journey at creating a self-sustaining food cycle on our urban homestead. Our goal is to try and show that no matter your situation there are things you can do right now to be a little more self reliant. Whether you're homesteading on an apartment balcony or 100's of acres of land, the same principles apply and can be used to help you become more self sufficient.
