Have an amazing time at the thing in place in the other place in the land across the pond over there!! 😂 la jacobine has yummy eats if you get to the Latin Quarter
Do you think these would work as trainers to get me through Dec-Feb in southern Appalachians? Not a lot of snow, but probably wet and somewhat cold. It seems like that double knit with good socks could be warm.
LBNL here… JC’s comment about the Live stream becoming the tues/thurs college class made me laugh so hard! I liked the watch discussion… I am a road runner and have coros watch 2, but doing more trails and interested in topo maps. Interested in the screen discussion. Let’s talk more about it in the next LS!
Hahaha -- yes, I freeze easily, but it gets deceptively chilly in the SF evenings. Thanks so much for joining us not only on the run but also for pizza. It meant so much to the group!
Another useless fact nobody asked for re 16:00 🙃😉 Gin was / is the poor man's Cognac so when in France have a glass of Cognac not Gin (if you want to be authentic). Gin is an English creation and was first produced as a cheap/ readily available alternative to Cognac as the UK could not get Cognac imported while the two countries were at war (Napoleonic Wars )
Thanks for the Grandma's encouragement. Just ran the GB half and got a big age group win (65-69). Always a favorite race of mine. First Grandma's marathon was in 1980.
I appreciate Fordy not including short walks etc on Strava. I follow some people on there who leave anything they do up, and it really clutters up my feed. 😑
Thing is an overrated shoe for one is underrated for another. Always got to consider other runners on any review. Example. The hurricane 24 is an absolute banger. Surface area is nice and wide. Almost Superblast like.
Hi Ko , my daughters started competitive swim and flag football recently and finally thinking about graduating from a iPhone to a real camera to record videos. Is this a camera you would recommend for recording with decent zoom? I likely won’t be able to have it sit on a tripod so I’ll be running around a bunch with the camera.
iPhone is a really great camera, fwiw. But if you’re looking to get something a bit more robust, I like the Sony a6700. It has 4k120, and when I pair it with a 70-350mm, it’s quite a potent sports videography combo. But if you’re looking for that kind of zoom to film a lot of sports for regular speed playback, you might want a tripod or monopod. I typically put a lot of footage in slow motion and my clips are very short, so handheld isn’t as big of problem
@@KofuziRunClub it wasn't massive, I just noticed a difference in the midsole in the heel area after a couple of runs and it has stayed pretty consistent since then
Newton running shoe used to be known for forcing or training you to land on your forefoot, thats what are those pads are for on the forefoot, it gives you a pop when you land the shoe the right way, If thats indeed a 4mm drop shoe, if you count the drop of the pads, it might be almost a zero drop shoe! Oh and the old Newton never works for me, my foot were in pain after a 4 miles run LOL.
Yeah Yeovil Town have signed a few players in the off season, but have lost Rhys Murphy (a player with a track record of scoring consistently at lower league level, but didn't play consistently due to injuries) and Joe Day (the main goalkeeper, who was linked with playing at a higher level at Cheltenham). So surely 2 of the main transfer priorities must be a proven striker and goalkeeper. You are a bit stuck after all if you can't put the ball in one goal, and keep it out at the other end!
Answers to questions never asked : The UK is currently getting weather sweeping down from north atlantic (greenland way) so it is cold even for the UK . low to mid 50's most days currently with high 40's in the morning.
A Duramo in South Africa is super entry level shoe for beginners. I think the Duramo SL is just a slightly better version of that....maybe like an Adizero SL 1...similar.
