Going in August. Can't wait. What would be great for your camping videos, is drive around and show the site numbers. That would help when someone is booking. Thanks.
No matter how many times I go I still get very emotional! Disneyland was truly incredible! Disney world is Disneyland on a much larger scale! You are going to love it! If you ever find yourself going and have any questions, let us know!
The boat is actually part of your reservation. When booking Latitudes, your reservation time is actually your boat departure time. They also recommend you arrive 10 minutes early to the dock. Depending on where you park, the walk to the dock could be 5-10 minutes. If your dinner reservation is at 6:00PM, you'll need to be at the boat dock by 5:50PM, but leave 5-10 minutes to walk over to the dock depending on where you park. Hope that helps!
We stayed at the Finger Lakes RV Resort, which was really well kept! We'd stay there again. It was a 12 minute drive to Watkins Glen, and about 30 minutes from Buttermilk Falls (2nd Hike).
The finger Lakes are so beautiful. We did The Gorge hike at Watkins Glen this summer at it's was our top hike of the summer. There's just so many things to do in the area. Fun video guys!!
Thanks, happy to be back! Unfortunately we had some back to back life events this year that slowed us down a bit. But we've pushed through that and we're back on the road!
You did not even mention that the Hemingway "penny" story was in connection to the huge pool that his wife Pauline built. A critical element if one wants to make sense of the story. and by all means; beware of the killer chickens.🙄Will place in the do not recommend file.
That whole tour was fascinating, what a wild life. We luckily did not have any chicken run-ins ourselves, but did watch someone across the street from us being chased by chickens! When they're mad, they're mad!
Great video and information but I would add getting a Lobster Roll at the famous Clam shack in Duval st. On the west side of Key west, walking distance from downtown you get lots of street performers as the sun is setting. It makes it for an awesome spot for photos and entertainment.
Thanks so much for watching! This is from the seaplane site if you want a little more info! keywestseaplanecharters.com/faq/ They do provide you with a cooler and complementary water or soda if you want. We did take a few snacks of our own. But they do have some things for purchase when you check in. They will also provide you with snorkel gear if you do not have your own! However keep in mind your bag has to be pretty small since it's only an 8 passenger plane so don't over pack(which I know can be difficult to do).
The Turtle Hospital is not in Key West which is why you don't hear people talk about it there; it is in Marathon at MM47, 47 miles north of KW. So many visitors think Key West is ALL there is to the Florida Keys, but as you experienced, there are many other Keys in the Island chain beginning in Key Largo with all the keys being connected by 43 bridges. Come on back when you can stay longer!
Definitely not! We love to cram a lot of activities into a short period of time. However, there's a lot to do in Key West and we feel like we just scratched the surface.
As always thanks for following along and providing feedback! The keys were incredible with lots of things to do! We're looking forward to going back and doing even more next time.
What a fun trip. Glad your pup is feeling a little better, it’s hard having elderly dogs and traveling. Thanks for sharing, this one just got added to our list of places to visit.
It can be challenging traveling with dogs let alone dogs not feeling well! It was a really fun time, look forward to seeing a video of your trip to Key West ;) .
Great video, guys! Awesome camera work and editing. We are also from Ohio and currently in Florida (Daytona Beach). Hope to make it to the Keys and also see Dry Tortugas National Park! So glad your beagle is okay. We had some issues recently with our senior dog Cooper and it sure is stressful, especially when you're in an unfamiliar area. We are already subscribers, so we look forward to seeing what's next for you guys! Safe travels!
Fellow Ohioans! Currently snowing quite a bit here, so enjoy the warmer Florida weather! The Keys and specifically the Tortugas were a great time, hope you can make it down there! Thanks for watching and subbing!
It was quite the trek for us! Around 30 hours over 2.5 days, but it was worth it! And on the plus side I made it through 3 or 4 audiobooks, ha. Thanks for watching!
Goodonya for adopting a turtle. And glad to hear that Lady is doing good. Nothing worse than having as sick doggo. Always fun to watch your adventures.
Dude, I love what you have done with your water connections, I need to do that on our Imagine. And good on Mel for fighting for your right to beach view!! We really enjoy watching your guys stuff. Safe travels kids!!!
The water setup has been a real game changer! I did plan to release a video on how I set that up just haven't gotten around to it yet. As far as the view we typically don't like to make a fuss about things, but in this case it wasn't a cheap spot and we ended up having tons of empty lots around us the entire week, so we felt less guilty.
I love Fish Petting, LOL. I loved the scene of you 2 chatting by the sunset with the dramatic music. WOW, that late night dive was amazing, and frightening. Which Canon Camera are you rocking, looks great.
Thank you! Currently rocking the Canon EOS R5 for the uncropped 4k footage. Originally started with the Canon EOS M50 which we loved! However, having an IT background and an obsession with quality I wanted to extend the our footage quality more than a few years by investing in 4K. If you keep an eye out at BestBuy or Amazon once or so a year the R5 goes on sale for almost $1,000 less than normal. It's worth noting that even before RU-vid we recorded a ton of travel and family events so this purchase was more than for RU-vid.
@@AddingToOurStory WOW, the R5 is the dream. I'm jealous. I shoot with an EOS RP. I recently splurged on the RF 15-35 f2.8 and I love it. I don't mind using 1080, because it still looks amazing for video content. But I've been trying my hand at selling stock footage and I can really see the blur when I zoom in and pixel peep. I am thinking there is an R5 mk II coming out soon.
One of the most expensive places to camp in Florida if not the US. Glad you got moved. Are you going to be on the Treasure Coast at all? I hope you like our geeky new channel name. We are rebranding to fit better with our mission to promote environmental and cultural preservation on our upcoming carbon-neutral UNESCO world tour. Cheers and keep up the fun. - Turtle
It was rather pricey. It's hard to tell in the video, but the spot they initially put us in had us situated odd on the backside of the camper. Even the site guide said "this isn't really a good spot and can be difficult to get setup in." However, we went to the front office and just nicely asked if there was any other spots open. They without any push back were accommodating so it all worked out. Glad we asked since the whole row where we ended up was mostly vacant for the whole week! Also like the new name and good luck on your tour!
@@AddingToOurStory The keys are beautiful but expensive. It is always good to ask. We check into places on camera and find it helps get better spots or rooms at times. Cheers and enjoy our beautiful state and Parks. - Turtle
That's what we're learning! We said it a bunch in the video, but we're typically "plan" people. So throwing the plan aside and doing whatever we could felt like we were living life on the wild side! We're still planning everything, but now going to leave a bit more unplanned in-between.
@@AddingToOurStory I think that's the best option. For Toni and I we tend to plan, but also leave ourselves open to adventure when it presents itself. Keep adventuring kids! We love watching your stuff.
