Besides being my favorite singer, her voice was so strong, I loved her style. She lived near me in Naples, and saw her twice in our Publix. With all the strength I had, I wouldn’t approach her. She came in, picked up what she wanted and left. I’d also see her husband, Bruce. I put two bouquets of flowers at the gates to her house when I heard she passed. We share the same birthday, one year apart.
