😂😂😂 100% we definitely learn from mistakes here! I am constantly learning everyday even at the ripe age of 36 😂 I appreciate you watching and giving advice.
As bad as it sounds I was a master Hyundai tech and did not know that until after I released this video 😂 from what I read though is the type n 2.0t has a bigger turbo and different tune.. I still want a Genesis coupe.. I was looking at them on marketplace yesterday 😂😂 thanks for watching!
@@TurbochargedTactics It’s definitely an underrated car with a big aftermarket (which I’m not complaining about) and it’s really affordable so IMO it’s a solid platform to have fun with!
Theta II engines have a reputation, in the service industry, good sir. Not a good one.... I have a CRV that the suspension is rusting off, and a Ranger pickup with a bad motor.......
Oh I know I have replaced a many of bot the 2.4 and rebuilt a many of 2.0 engines when I was a master Hyundai tech.😂 But I haven't seen any of the type n engine troubles. I need an AWD crv for the accord 😂 which ranger is it? the newer one with the Ecoboost?
@@TurbochargedTactics No, it's a 1994 , 4X4 4.0 with a M5OD manual. Unfortunately, it has 3.27 gears, a K swap really would prefer a 4.10+ ratio, a 4.30 would be perfect.
I'm still wondering if the f22 is salvageable lol have I done anything with it since I took the head off? Nope 😂 but I did have an idea for a video lol
Just noticed your Accord content. I've been documenting and making videos on fixing/converting things on my Accord for some time. There may be something I've made you can benefit from later. Each one of us has a unique journey and I look forward to seeing yours. Subscribed!
Great job brother! I have had my Jdm Integra sitting here for the last 5-6 years because I need to do some welding and custom fabrication. But like most I haven’t welded since highschool. I e already joined the Army, did 10 years and got injured and now I’m a 100% disabled veteran that can’t work. I’m bored out of my mind and I can’t afford to pay to have my car fixed. And I’ve wanted a go kart since I was a kid. Well I found a cheap go kart frame and I stripped it down to find that it’s cracked in the frame and I need to weld in the rear live axle mounts. I’m debating on getting that Titanium welder from HF too. I’m just scared that I won’t figure it out and I’ll just embarrass myself. I e gotten some brain damage from my time in the Army and I now struggle with a learning disability and I have Narcolepsy. But I have to re learn a lot of things I used to know. I’ve forgotten a lot of knowledge, friends and family too. But I just don’t have any friends that can help me when I need help lifting heavy stuff since I have a broken back and a Bent back tailbone. But Honestly I just might go give it a try. I’ll save up and get that welder and helmet and whatever else I need and go for it. I want to drive my car so bad. It’s a AWD Turbo H2B J front Integra. It’s been a dream since i lived in Japan back in 2006.
First let me tell you thank you for your service bro! Second that sounds like a mean teggy lol... And third, all I can say is do it! We can never hit the bullseye if we never take the shot! You let me know when you do and I will definitely watch it if you make videos of it! My son and I are going to make a shopping cart cart one day too lol thank you for the support bro!
Bro concrete is crazy rn but everything is damn administration is killing us doing gravel and car port in back at my place rn till I can get $ saved for a slab
@@c.j.bronze6179 on top of that I've developed "long covid" so I haven't worked since December 2022.. brain and heart is all messed up 😅 I promise I will be dropping some dope content soon
Let go of the helmet. Tighten down whatever hinges you need to. Hold the thing with both hands. If you need to, put your arm on something stable and drag across as smooth as possible
uhh put a block of copper behind it then weld it so you dont melt the piece and the copper will let you weld while helping to keep the weld from getting to hot...if you dont have the right wire and heat/ settings
Only way to truly learn is through failure and mistakes.. Make sure the area is clean of all paint etc.. That will get you good current throughout the weld.. If your burning through have it set too high.. Lower the wire feed too .. Slow and steady wins the race!
The copper trick is if you are blowing out the metal from the weld .. Copper will help prevent it from blowing out but easier trick turn down the current and feed and work up from there .. Easier to have a weld that dont hold rather than blow out all the metal and end up with a gap you cant fill
@@TurbochargedTactics imagine not having that experience, like everything went buttery smooth... Then you wouldn't have learned what was essential to be great 👍
Wd40 the block let sit for 24 hrs turn it over knock the rust out pop the valves out clean the head up pull rods and pistons free up the rings reassemble and send it with 8 to 15 psi and send it
Nostalgia! I had a 92 accord with a f22b2 and loved wrenching on it. It would be awesome to see an f series build but I would watch either one brother. Just don’t mess with that old rusted cylinder engine. Pick which ever one you and your son would be most excited about that fits the budget.
Thank you, and that's awesome! I miss the days I was a teenager and cars were a dime a dozen 😂 I think if we don't mess with the rusty cylinders we are just going to go with a k series. I heard their bottom end is pretty stout!
@@TurbochargedTactics hell yeah brother. My accord was a manual and it was green with chrome trim. Some guy stole it and totaled it in a high speed police chase. I miss that car. I don’t miss chasing vacuum leaks though.
I've actually got that same welder and I have put it to the test and built a flatbed truck with it and honestly I was very impressed with the little machine. Of course I have some bigger and more expensive machines as well since I have been doing this for many years now
I appreciate this, comments like this helps me lol. I would like bigger more expensive rigs but I'm poor and still too new to welding lol. I really want to learn how to tig. I heard it's hard at first though.
Hey so your comment on 'my brain is working this week'. Have you ever talked to a doctor about depression? I spent 3 years where I thought my brain basically broke and no longer worked. Couldn't generate a thought, couldn't get motivated to do anything. I got treated for depression with just a daily pill. Made an enormous difference about a month after. If you feel like that might be the same for you, just ask a doctor. The medication for that is dirt cheap too.
Yo, this is the kindest comment I believe I've ever read since being on social media. So let me say thank you for this. My mental health has gotten dramatically better since I met my wife (she has a degree in psychology). My brain problems are coming from an illness I experienced starting in December of 2022. I blacked out at work and haven't been able to think properly since then. I'm about 98% sure it is "long covid" I forget basic words and cannot speak correctly. It's embarrassing honestly 😂 once again I thank you for your sincere comment!
Are you really going to be able to put all this stuff together once you get the car running? Looks like just a pile of screws and parts w no place to put them? Lol
Haha yeah i got one of those flux core welders to make some birdshit welds for a fence post on an automatic parking lot gate. It worked good enough but i don't know shit about welding, i'm more of a solder guy. I just hope it lasts, makes me kinda interested in tig for exhaust stuff tho
It's been so long since I welded anything 😂😂 but I'm going to get use to it sooner or later 😂 yoooo I want a tig welder so bad so I can do those crazy intakes! Or like you said those cool exhaust... I think tig can do titanium right? I appreciate you watching!
Dang good on you for jumping in the deep end so you and your boy can learn together. My boy and I did much the same back in 2013 and now he's building race buggies and running them out in the desert, even sponsored. In 1989, I started with a Lincoln Weldpac 180HD from Home Depot to rebuild a Jeep CJ8 Scrambler and my first welds were a lot like yours, but I'm stubborn and the welds got better after they got worse, ha ha. During Covid lockdowns, I learned to weld aluminum and built a all-aluminum camper shell which turned out great. I had many visitors stop and ask me if I was building a prop for a UFO RU-vid movie! I just went ahead and told them yes. It took almost four years and I don't regret any of it. I hate sitting around so doing something is always better than being on a mass mind manipulator machine. I think we are going to need skills more than ever, soon enough.
That is awesome! Especially with your son! Mine turns 15 in November. I had him out in the garage with me when he was around 5 showing him parts and asking him to name them on my 86 C10 😂 he is a little gearhead now which makes me proud! I am a master Hyundai technician and level 1 mopar but my welds are definitely horrible 😂 but like you I too am stubborn and I am going to keep pushing myself! Thank you for the kind words! Is any of your builds on RU-vid? I'm all about learning!
