I just bought a new $7500 mower, and the deck carrier was falling down (bolt fell out before I ever even used it!); some nuts were only barely finger tight; and one of the hydros is weaker than the other... THIS is why I always try NOT to buy American-made crap. Your stalling problem is probably an EFI problem. I avoided EFI at all costs, 'cause there's no reason such complicated and delicate electronics should be on a mower! A carburetor you can fix in the field if need be.
I know this is an older video, year old, just wondering how you made out with your EFI system… I had an Ariens Snow blower with EFI and that computer ran but failed on me twice and wouldn’t stay idle when a load was put on it… Really turned me off to ever buying anything with EFI ever again…I took a big loss on my Ariens EFI when I sold it as is… I have a 16 year old SCAG with a Kawasaki engine, choke and throttle driven engine. It’s in the shop now, I’ve had issues with one cylinder not working properly and changed the coils but it didn’t remedy it. If I bought another SCAG or another brand I would stick with manual choke control with manual throttle control and stay away from any machine that offers Electronic Fuel Injection control, the modules that control the engine are the problem, they also need to be replaced if they are blinking in a sequence that isn’t working properly. That is what my Ariens Snow Blower module was doing.. Ariens replaced the first module free of charge however it lasted a year and the following winter it was acting up again and not functioning properly, idle was fine until I pushed it and it would race then drop and shut down… I went to a local authorized Honda dealer and bought a Honda Snow blower with their 13 hp engine and it’s not EFI it’s carburetor with choke, and it runs amazing… Double the price I paid for that POS Ariens with EFI but I don’t think it’s gonna fail me when we get North easterner Snow storms here where I live. Hope you swapped out that tractor for one that has a carburetor & choke, they seem to work fine once they start and warm up… EFI is a bad choice for any sort of snow/garden equipment…The circuit boards controlling the fuel management system are made in China and total garbage
I exchanged it for a SCAG VRide 2 with the carb Kawasaki. I am over EFI and will avoid it like the plague. I have over 300 hrs on the VRide and have basically had no issues at all. I got a Z960 John Deere with the FX921 carb Kawasaki and it has about 120 hours on it, no problems outside a early breakage of a spring and that's it.
I'm definitely enjoying the grass slow down, Ok now let's get to this! Josh I've been watching you for a while and one thing I know about you is You will definitely bounce back from this also! I already no what your Christmas present will be ( Rabbits Foot)🤣Well since we didn't end at 1159pm you're alright with me brother! Keep them blades turning😎💯💪🏾
I will still be standing brother. Keep moving forward 💪. I think I might need the whole rabbit and not just the foot....lol 😜. Always appreciate you brother 👊. Stay safe out there!
Dang buddy - that sucks! - i got many weedeater where things have happened to it - fell off truck-mower rolled into it - you name it- Def keep all of them for parts
It was quite a stretch....lol 🤪. This season has been interesting, but I am still standing and mowing💪👊💯. Def keeping it for parts 👍. Good to hear from you brother, keep safe out there!!
Josh! Please don't turn into a STEAK! 🥩 Man you're right about the grass and the growth I was taking note of that today, You rack up them hours quick but I guess doing that acreage will help! Welcome back good ole wash and wax, and just when I thought we were going to have a complete day time video!!!!!!!!🤣💪🏾
Def didn't wanna become a T-Bone😮🤪🤣🤣. The slower growth helps allow me to get done faster. Yes sir, clicking those hours along💪. I had to bring out the Wash-n-wax for sure and couldn't end the video in the daylight😜🤣🤣🤣
Mine did it to a degree, but I think it has to do with how the discharge side of the deck is formed and leaves a small gap. Overall though I liked mine.👍
Yes sir!!!!!!!!!!! Team Tundra all day long! My work truck is 2002 Tundra V6 with 307,000 and my daily is 2004 with 4.7 Double Cab with 179,000 You can tell I'm Toyota bought and SOLD! CONGRATS🎉🍾
Def digging it so far. Love how it rides. Always heard good things about Toyotas and figured I would join the club. Seen two recent studies that list the Tundra #1 most likely to go over 250,000 miles🙏🤞👍👊💪
I can't even see the starter or the solenoid on mine without taking off a bunch of crap. It's a neighbor's lawn mower actually. I'm never buying a John Deere zero-turn.
Thank you sir! Probably wouldn't be bad for a daily but I just didn't see it holding up to the workload. The gas mileage wasn't really any better than what I have been getting out of the Tundra either
Hi. We have a spindle assembly that may fit your mower. We're happy to offer you the product completely free of charge in exchange for a video review. Are you interested?
Thanks. I am not sure. I think the bagger is based on the model and deck size. I am not well versed in all the different models of the baggers and what mowers they fit. This was the first and only bagger I have ever had. If you have your owners manual, it may list attachments and possibly indicate the right one.
Hi Josh, how do you adjust the blower for more power so it can blow the leaf and grass clip to the bagger. I bought my X390 I mower when the bagger full and I empty dump the bagger a lot of leaf stuck inside the hose and in the fan blower it can not blow to the bagger anymore, I need to remove the hose and clean dump.
To my knowledge there isn't an adjustment. The blower power is based off of the PTO/blade speed. Sometimes if you cut a tad bit higher you don't pick up as much sand/dirt and that helps not clogging the chute also. Hope this was helpful 👍👊

Break-in oil change in 8-10hrs. Regular oil changes for me are at 50hr intervals. I also change spark plugs, fuel filter and air filter at 100hr intervals. Some say it's overkill, but I paid 10k+ for it so😜👍
Just got a bad boy rouge 72" cut at noon on Friday. Cut some acreage has 8 hrs on the clock and the PTO clutch died at 2pm on Saturday. It's going back to the dealer on Monday. I was pretty much torture testing it for 5 of those hours mowing some high thick grass, so not really blaming bad boy for the failure. This thing is built like a tank. The PTO clutch just died, it's getting 13v to the plug but not engaging.
Badboy makes a good machine. I just got a lemon this time. I still wouldn't discourage anyone from buying one. When you cut the rough stuff....stuff is bound to break. Hope it's back working soon for you and Thanks for tuning in😁👍
Sorry, I don't actually recall the number for this unit. With yours being a 48, it may require a smaller blower assembly since this one was for a 54". The dealer should be able to search it out for you or you could search the John Deere website.
