i absolutely adored the ten thousands doors of january and the unmaking of june farrow, our tastes are so alike! please keep talking about the books your reading i love it! <3
Looking at your monthly spread reminded me that I have a TON of Washi Dot Stickers I am going to figure out a way to use them in my Monthly Spread Planner I just ordered a Compact TN from Sterling Ink Horizontal Spread Thank You for Sharing ❤❤❤ if I do Decide to use them for tracking I’ll make sure to shout you out ❤
It may sound like an absolutely silly question, have ever watched his YT? You’re processing your system second hand. Yes, reading his book will allow you to create a mind map for clearer directions.
My brain doesn't work like other brains. Lol. I have to do everything myself (arrive at it myself) or it doesn't stick. I can't do something just because someone else says it works. My system is working great for me right now, it may change, and then I'll figure that out too. :) By "his YT" are you talking about Ryder Carroll? Yes, I think so? but like I said, I have to do things my way.
I just purchased my very first Sterling Ink order two days ago... And the two planners I got were the N1 and B6 full year... I use an A5 Cousin and that's not going anywhere but I was using a B6 W222 and for a couple reasons that size just isn't working for me... So I'm thinking of using my B6 SI like you use yours sort of! The one I'm MOST excited about is 100% my N1. I think I'm going to love this size. How do you think it fits in your TN cover? I have one from the travelers company and I hope it fits because I couldn't afford a cover for it as I had saved for months to pick these up but I need something to protect it while I'm living out of my car for a minute lol
You’re going to have a lot of fun with those, I think. I’m pretty sure the N1s fit great in regular TN covers, but I got an n2, so I’m not sure. It’s hobonichi weeks size. I think the B6 size is great, but for planning things tend to get lost in It for me. I love how this journal is working though. Flipping through the pages is so fun.
Ugh. I love this notebook of yours so much! It’s really making me rethink my approach to my personal journal. Namely the lists of books. I want to incorporate pages of book lists, too! I’m back into sci fi and epic fantasy again. Currently knee deep in Brandon Sanderson’s The Stormlight Archive and having my mind blown left and right.
I highly recommend listing books. I mean, it’s satisfying, beautiful, easy, interesting, and like a little time capsule for what interests me at the moment. I could have a whole journal of booklists (but I’m trying to just enjoy this for the moment). 😅 Also, when your tired mama brain doesn’t know what to write, here you go. It even makes me feel productive. 😂 We need to talk books! I’ve only read Tress (Sanderson) and I wasn’t super into it, but I think I need to give him another shot. That one’s kind of silly.
Oh, I think we’re talking about different ones. This one is set in England. I was very confused about Patrick swayze. 😂 But this one has Richard Armitage. 👍
Ok yes on that stay wet palette!!! I’m an artist as well. I even have that same tray! I’ve been shopping stay wets because I hate rush painting. You just made my day? Month? YEAR
Erin, I LOVE YOU. You are so sincerely that you don't care but other people say if you need to change your system of planning. It has to fix for you and I am learning about that. THANK YOU. My mind is so germanic, 😂😂😂😂, that it cost me a lot to make changes cause I think I am waisting my notebooks or loosing information. By the way, where do you get those washis?. You should have your own line of them 😅. Now, as a Patreon, I am gonna try to fix the numbers to the TNs, hahaha. Good morning and a big hug from Barcelona 🥰🌷
I love YOU! Thanks for the sweet comment. :) I have a lot of fun changing things and making them work, but sometimes things do get lost. I’m feeling very good about this though. It’s a comforting feeling and that’s what I was looking for. I would love to make washi if someone else produces it! So happy you’re a part of the Patreon fam, and big hugs from Savannah! ❤️
@@erin_ware_artcan you tell me if there are any good stationary stores there?! Other than hobby lobby, Michaels, etc. Charleston SC just opened one back in August but that drive is a lot longer lol
Seeing your collection is refreshing! I’ve only just started getting into fountain pens (I got my first one, a platinum preppy, this January) and now currently own two-my second one is a Lamy Safari in candy violet. Since I watch a lot of pen reviews, I get recommended a lot of currently inked videos. Some videos feature a MASSIVE collection, which makes me feel like I need to start purchasing more pens myself. This video just reminded me that being a fountain pen enthusiast ≠ being a fountain pen collector.
Oh man. Thank you for this comment, and yes, this is very true. I don't really like to have things that I can't possible use on a regular rotation. I feel really good about curating my collection to be only my faves, and , uh... the ones I can afford! :) Obviously this is subjective--everybody's needs are different.
1:42 - i actually joined the journaling community as a "watcher" during this time so I remember it perfectly 2:42 - also agree that for my planner specifically, I just need it to function. my journals is where I can go crazy with all the creativity and such but my planner is more a place where i'd like some structure to stat with so that its easier 7:36 - actually I WOULD like to be here all day haha
I absolutely would love to see a full walk through of your bujo. They are my favorite videos to watch. I have about twelve journals for this year. 😂 I have two bujos. They aren’t creative at all. Just notes and thoughts with trackers. But one is an A6 hobo. I’m surprised how well it works.
If you didn’t want to read the book- at least spend some time looking at some blog posts that sum it up. I think all the collections (like you’re making) and fancy looking pages can lead to overwhelm and difficulty finding things - like you’ve already experienced. Finding a couple of basic explanations might help you. Also, you’ll notice there are people who bullet journal is many different styles of notebooks- some opt for using hobonichi as a framework so they don’t have to draw out calendars/weeks. I could see how that would get exhausting.
I'm very familiar with all the various options and the reasons behind them. I just have trouble deciding what will actually help me! I think I'm getting there. :)
So proud of you on the Uppercase Magazine feature! Congratulations, Erin! 🥰🙌🎨 Always love your video and whatever you have to share. You don't talk or share too much, you do it just right! It's all so inspiring and always gives me lots of ideas 💖
Thank you so much! I'm very excited about it. And thanks for the kind words. I love to listen to other people talk about stationery--I don't know why I'm self-conscious about it, but I'll try to get over that. :)
Oh yes. That's from Niconeco. It looks like it sold out, but there might be some others from the same colab. www.niconeco.com/products/niconeco-zakkaya-x-hiraoka-hitomi-collabration-rubber-stamp-coffee-time?_pos=7&_sid=0f8e3244a&_ss=r And thanks for the kind words!
Absolutely loved this video!!! I love seeing all your books (I always say this lol) and I love hearing about your book recs!! I went to add the unmaking of June farrow to my cart and did you know there is another book by the same author called spells for forgetting? It also sounds wonderful!
Yeah, those are good words. I think focused is what I was trying to get at, but those are synonyms, so there you go. :) Definitely all three of those. The sticker book I purchased is: amzn.to/3veohek
Maybe, and yes, but I'm also trying to get away at looking at time as transactional, or like it needs to be maximized, so I think I was thinking more like intentional or focused. Or maybe present is better. (Still thinking. 😊)
i apologize for all the comments, i should've just compiled them and waited till the end to send but I did want to mention that I use a similar method to track my media! instead of picking one dot per piece of media I have a dot per media category and then list whatever I read or watched in any given day. but I love the idea of choosing a dot per book!
No worries, just keep 'em coming! 😆 I think I saw that recently in your media journal. I like that idea too. Lately I've just been writing in other types of things because I don't watch too many things other than RU-vid.
i think the word that comes up for me is intentional? its not so much about being productive or useful as much as it is about making sure we're doing things with intention instead of just going through the motions, making sure we're always busy.... that's a goal for me this year, for sure. even in a busier season for me, i'm still trying to focus on being as intentional as I can with what I spend my time on and the mentality with which i approach those tasks. not sure if that resonates but figured id share :)
I got excited seeing your video, and I spent a lovely time with you today, and now I need to go back and leave a comment. (I hate commenting from my phone or iPad. Blech.)
I feel like the phrase you want is fulfilling. I want the things that I am busy doing to leave me with a sense of fulfillment. So even when its boring- like cleaning- atleast it fills my heart to know im making a lovely space for my family. Or when I spend time on social media it fills up a need for connection rather than distraction. Or books that add to my experience of life, that gives depth to my relationships to others and inspires me, rather that books that are just mindless entertainment. Its kind of like empty calories vrs nourishment? Anyways. I shall continue watching your lovely video now ✨
Thank you! I do really love it, I think I just had a couple of rough weeks and I got away from it. But I got back, don't worry! 😉 It's really fun to see it come together.
