False badging on the front fenders. If this car was "nicely restored," why the 283 badging with a 6 cylinder engine? Heck, why not add a SS badge on the rear fenders. It seems to me that it would have been very easy to take the V-8 flags with the 283 badging off, or go completely hog wild and actually put as 283 V-8 in the engine bay. I don't think that I would want to get behind this car going up a hill with the possible 9 passengers. Those passengers (most likely kids) would really be laughing at me trying to pass.
My family fled Baltimore race riots In a wagon like this as the city was burning sat in the back seat with bottles and brick pelted that wagon.same color
Beautiful wagon. But why does is have a straight 6 but say 283 on the fender? Was it originally a v8 car? Love the three on the tree. What a super cool wagon.
Stock? right...Aftermarket plug wires, Aftermarket air intake, aftermarket Alcohol injection system, aftermarket oil filler cap, aftermarket vacuum brake conversion, aftermarket hose from turbo to intercooler, aftermarket or Trans-Am take-off wheels. And that is NOT a Turbo-T; It is a Base Regal with the LC2 Turbo package., which requires the Y56 sport handling package.Turbo-T cars are only available in black, with Grey bucket seats, with the WO2 blackout trim package and have RPO code WE4 on the trunk label also.
I love the yellow 401 script. The overall color is a good shade of yellow. A great color for a muscle car, but slightly too loud (color) for my taste. A little more mellow yellow please. The Javelin script in the grill looks like it came from elsewhere on the car. The original is bolder script, which looks better. This one was probably trying to look like an AMX. That’s a ’70 hood.
