Hi my name is Annie O, an artist, podcaster and art doll collector, customiser and creator based in Melbourne AU. I started this channel to share my Art process and give back to the Blythe community. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe.
Is it ok if I nail file the dolls face for it to be matte!❤(am a beginner I really don’t know,my dolls face is glossy and I wanna know if I can nail file the face for it to be Mayte any tips!
@@AlissonRamirez-s6r please don’t use a nail file. The finest grit sandpaper would be more preferable with a touch of water so it glides. If it’s just a shiny face with no carving there is no need to sand the shiny face you can just use Mr Super clear spray matte. I hope that helps. Please go to the video about sanding for some more tips
In the video I show you how to sand with the finest grit of sandpaper to remove any scratches. You can also use a little water with the sandpaper to help with the process. I hope this helps and good luck with your creation.
I guess I’ve been doing it for so long I forgot it could be helpful to an inexperienced customiser and it was an unplanned tutorial. If you wish to go the extra step it may be helpful to you.
This was the most magnificent tutorial. I love that you use the filing tools instead of the knives. This tutorial was perfect the way that you filmed we are able to pause and rewind. Basic carving is all that I needed to get started. Thank you for sharing your skills. ✨✨✨
this is an awesome video! thanks so much for taking ur time to make this! do you know what someone can use to add to the facial features when sculpting? i wanna give my doll a higher nose bridge because i have a higher nose bridge
My video is a basic tutorial. What you describe seems more intense. You can only take the plastic surface away. If you need to add you must look at resin applications etc. There may be tutorials on RU-vid to help. Search for adding resin to Blythe/doll faceplates. Hope this helps. Good luck.
hi! i know this is an old video, but i was wondering if you’d ever post a face up video! it’s only because your videos are the most helpful and the materials are way less expensive than most :)
As someone who is a super beginner I truly appreciate the real time tutorial! I need to see the reality 😂 also thank you so much for talking about safety gear, it’s something that is often left out of crafting tutorials.
Thank you so much for making this video! I've been learning customization, literally, piece by piece. I am really stuck on the nose carving, though. I get the general idea, but I can't figure out how people get the finished noses so smooth and realistic looking. In this video, the nose part that I need is off camera or sped up so I can't follow it. The mouth carving instructions in this video are detailed an superb! It's so easy to see every tweak you make to it to finally get it to look the way you want it. I would be so grateful if you would do a nose carving video that is really easy to follow and detailed, like the lip carving in this video. This was the best instruction video that I have seen, and I have seen every one of them trying to see someone do a complete nose, with no luck. I' have subscribed to your channel so I will keep checking back. I had no problem watching this entire video three times, so long is good. Thank you!
You just need a standard model with or without foot control. The JSDA I have comes with both. I bought most of the drill bits separately. My machine is old but there are many still available on eBay. The one I use is called JSDA professional electric nail drill machine. Buy one with a 2 year guarantee with adjustable rpm 1- 10000. Good luck
