The caveman.
I get a kick out of these internet survival experts who totally misuse a blade until it fails and then say it is not good. Knives, any knife, is made for cutting and stabbing. Axes and hatchets are made for chopping. Throwing knives are made for throwing. I am sure most say a Jeep is a great off road vehicle. With this logic, if I drive it off a cliff I can claim its not good for offroading? Also, you missed your target more than you sunk it. P.S. I have had one of these since they came out. Mine is heavily used (for what it was designed to do) and have never had any issues. I still carry it every day
I appreciate your honesty. You got straight to the point on the differences and features that make a good bushcraft knife. A bark river has been on my wish list for a while and I might have to finally get one.
@user-ms2mk2rm3t LOL. I've been using Dave's knives since the early 90s. If you don't know why they're the best, you need to buy one. It's the difference between a Ferrari and an old pickup truck. The worst is the Tops version. By far.
@@thecavemanknivesreview.8097 I’ll tell you if I was able to earn like I used to 100% I would get one . I have ms now so I’m on a fixed budget . All the knives I have now are kinda of it for now . If I get some extra scratch I’m in . I also like the smaller belt knives you make they are pretty awesome too. If I hear about someone wanting a bomb proof survival knife I will direct them towards you for sure though.
I recently purchased a Tops D-Fly 4.5. I think you might like that knife , you should check it out. It's nothing close to the quality of your collection, BUT it's a really good design. I changed the edge a bit and dropped the nose down, just a hair, and I dig it. I also have their Tanimboca Puukko, which I made into a full zero degree scandivex, its now my main EDC . It just freaking works so good that I have stopped rotating knives . For me its really not about buying that $300+ knife although its definitely a dream to achieve. I prefer taking lower cost blades and getting full potential out of them . Modding your blades is really fun especially building from blanks.
If you are asking about my design yes I do. I'm working on a batch of 6 right now. In cpm 4v. I will do a video when they're ready. Thank you for the interest.
I’m surprised that you didn’t mention the Boker Tracker designed by Dave Wenger, they come in 3 sizes, Micro, Mini and regular. They’re really nice and worth the money. Hey your English is fine, I can understand you perfectly. You sure are lucky to have a beautiful collection of Trackers. I’m new to the design and have recently started testing it. I’m broke so the Boker Tracker is going to be my choice!
This is a heat treatment issue folks, first of all these aren’t designed for throwing. That’s the most important thing, it’s hardened the same all the way through the knife. If you’re determined to use the knife hard then at least take off the handle scales, which is pretty difficult, put the blade part in a can of water and heat the tang to a dull red and let it cool SLOWLY. Don’t get the blade edge hot, if you’re really careful you can put the edge down in a pan of water and heat the back to dull red and also let it cool slowly, heat the point a bit too, to a purplish brown. This will help prevent breaking. I’m not going to throw mine so I will just heat the tang and maybe the back carefully. Remember if your edge gets heated up past blue you’ve softened it past the point of it being a good cutting instrument. If you’re wanting to clean it off, sand off the coating and put it in boiling vinegar a few times for an hour or so and it will help prevent corrosion and look good. Personally I’d just use a throwing knife for throwing.
I missed your email in the video. I would like to get one on order. What is your email address please? Thanks. What a tool you have made man outstanding
Yes sir. This ona was me trying a different style. But I didn't find a noticeable difference in performance that makes me want to keep doing this style. The ones I'll offer to sell would be like the ones in Joe X video and on my introductory video. Thank you for the support.
Thank you very much brother. I'm pretty happy with the performance of the blade. It was only fair send the blade to Joe X for a test. Nobody on RU-vid abuse knives like him. Now I feel that me advertising the blade as a survival knife is more convincing than before Joe X. Thank you for the support and let me know whenever you want one made.
I appreciate brother. He definitely put it trough hell. We are not to far. I live in north Georgia. I have to seriously consider the Dolphin as it's new name lol.
Thank you for the interest. I don't have a website. I made those to order in my house. You can send me an email to crabladetools@gmail.com and I'll send you the details.
