The fact that they have heated and massaging seats but no ventilation in 2023 is the soul reason I'm not interested in this generation. A Mk8 Golf R has ventilated sport seats but we can't get it in a $100k audi?
„This thing absolutely destroyed it“, it being the F40. Let’s be real - this thing never made 1000hp. Koenig carefully avoided the scrutiny of German car magazines back in the day, where instrumented tests on the unlimited autobahn or racetracks would bring bullshit to the surface. Compare that to RUF whose Yellowbird repeatedly hit around 340. I believe it was Auto Motor & Sport who attempted to test Koenigs turbocharged 328 only to find out that it wasn’t up to the job and broke down. They didn’t even hit 270kmh if I remember correctly. If I had to guess: An unreliable 500-550hp is where the truth lies.
Been in the custom wheel business for decades.I would have kept the gold 3 piece classic BBS just up sized and super staggered in back. There's much lip left in the rear.Shouldn't have trimmed the wing either.
I love your stuff on your main channel, for a moment i thought you got caught because you didn't upload in 8 months. good to hear that you didn't get caught
Thank you!! I just haven't been able to get hold of any new cars unfortunately. They seem to be too busy sending them to bloody TikTokers so I might have to start making some shorts & start posting them there too 🤣😫
Just returned from a 2000 mile round trip to France in our Taycan 4s. Two adults and three teenagers and a load of luggage; the car did not miss a beat. No issues with charging - in fact the opposite. French charging infrastructure is better than what I am used to in the UK, but always allow for the unexpected. We'd look for a fast charger as soon as we hit 50 mile range. Great video, really enjoyed watching. :)
@@JamesKingstonCars Very impressive and worked through video! Inspiring! I have a 2021 Porsche TC 4s, red like yours. I use to drive it through Europe to my summer house in Perpignan at the Mediterranean. As a birdwatcher I have two times tried to find the european endemic bird Rock Partridge in the swiss alps on the road down to France without succeeding. But your video inspired me to try again next summer!! I always sleep in the car, mattress and sleeping bag works fine. I can park in the areas where this rear, nearly threatened, bird is to be found, and be early up in the morning in the right place. Absolutely no charging issues. 350 kw Ionity that always works everywhere. I have equipped it intentionally as a GT-Wagon. Cooled massage seats. 19" tyres, no roof rails, aerodynamic rims, 4w steering. Battery heat planner on, less than 20 min from 10 - 80 %, just time for a rest. Driving in range mode only activating rear motor gives surprisingly low consumption even at high speeds on the autobahn, partly due to the 2nd gear.
Normally that company really screws with the lines of the original design and make the car ugly. They wisely showed restraint here maybe realizing that you can't improve on perfection.
Awesome video and very great trip. Also this Porsche must be a lot of fun. I also did this trip this summer, Grimsel Pass, Furka Pass, Oberalppass, and also the Susten Pass (Susten Pass is also near the 3 other places.) But I did it with a small Mitsubish car, but it was anyway fun.
My dad and I owned a z3 roadster 92 model but it was just a shell no paint no nothing we did some work for it and had it about 20 years! We decided to sale it on Facebook marketplace and within 2days homeland security shows up at our shop and says that it’s stolen! We live 30miles from the bmw plant so that’s where it had to come from but we don’t know how it was stolen from the plant! They took it and crushed it and we told them the story of how we got it! Thank goodness we didn’t get it any trouble!
Got the same car but a 58 kWh version but mine has the gold and grey alloys and a full pan roof ,although this does not open it lets in loads of light in absolutely love it !
Yes I like these… if they add the hybrid to the 310bhp and give it 400-450 horses I’m in. I bet the 1.4 hybrid isn’t much slower at all in everyday driving. Not seen such a good looking crossover since the Infiniti FX. Sadly they didn’t last long in Europe but great cars.
Epic James. You defo shot something special there with Daniel…..Watched the climb obviously. Get the turbo s from Rob at Porsche next…. As a petrol head and an EV owner of 6 years now, I have never charged on the public network in that time. Just needs some organisation and of course a home charger. If you need to do more than 250 miles a day (I never do) then don’t even bother with an EV. If you are sub 250 a day and have a home charger there is nothing better.
Thanks, Jason! I'd love to but Rob has left Porsche so I'm stuck trying to make contact with whoever has replaced him. I agree! I drive a maximum of 30-50 miles a day on average and I'd happily run a small EV just for that. Can't really complain when it'll cost pennies to charge overnight. A bigger petrol engine would be for nothing but pleasure!
3 things i always use while driving! 1 Nav 2 music 3 climate/heat Audi made it so each of the screens can independently project one of those for me at any time, and i dont have to touch anything else for hours, no one else does that, its all packed in one big unit, and its a mess!
The Koenig Competition Evolution was my all time favourite car as a nipper. Poster on the wall from a special edition of World Sports Cars magazine. In my view this crushes the Countach. Total and utter domination. Love it.
Finally some Audi content from a fellow Brit! love these kinda videos. NGL, the stock Audis do need some cosmetic upgrades tbf but the cinematography was on point my man! Sick video and review!
I have 2 Testarossas. That car looks and sounds great.. but other than the badge and spoiler there is nothing Koenig about this car.. I have the same BBS-LM in gold, same lowered stance, and also straight piped, and red, but with tan interior... Love the car, the videography and content, keep up the great work... looks like maybe I should get a Koenig specials badge. 😉✌️
What a nice mix of an awesome car, stunning views and great editing! I've driven the Grimsel pass before. Looking to go back to the alps this summer in my BMW. Love from Sweden 🇸🇪
The first 5 min sums up why I won’t by a full e car. Always go to the Alps for few ski trips (NL-AT) and would be furious if that happens to me. And 24:30 didn’t help also. Infra is so important.
You could have taken out a Tesla membership, and then charged at the Tesla public superchargers, and you would have had a whole different charging experience
Porsche could easily take bits from your video and use it as a commercial. The quality of your production is excellent! And yes, the car is EPIC ! 😄 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The WLTP range is 550km, 343 miles. Charging times on public charging depend on so many variables, your times need to be taken with a pinch of salt. In D and B mode, slowing down off pedal or pressing the brake always activated regen first, then when stronger braking is required, the mechanical brakes are used.
