First time watching…you are easy to root for! Maybe next time minor adjustments when things are not going your way…it looked like completely different swings after a bad one…keep going👍👍👍
@@Kurt_Ridgewell oh I wasn’t ever saying play straight at all. I noticed after watching several of your videos you like to play from way left. However there is so much more of the lane you can play. Different balls, and shapes if you would have played 15 to 5 the last 3 events you recorded you make the cut in 2 out of 3 and the 3rd you take an IQ tour or Venom shock roll up 7,8 you make that cut. I know PBA players play from way left, but that’s after they burn up the right side.
First off great for going and putting yourself out there and giving it a go. We only got to see you throwing on the even numbered lanes, need to show what you're doing on both sides of the pair you're bowling on. Going by what I saw it seemed you had problems focusing on your target on the lanes you were kind of all over the place probably due to nerves I'd say yes, no, maybe, sometimes, always, never? Best advice I could give is first and foremost stick to your routine when getting up on the approach, next slow down, calm your nerves and get focused in on your mark on the lane before you start your approach. Oh, and of course don't take your eyes off your mark on the lane until you've seen your ball go past it and out of your sight line. Keep up the work and good luck in your next tourney. You and your family have a good, safe and blessed rest of your evening and week.
It takes alot just to be out there. I joined a sport shot league this year and boy are those PBA patterns tough. Stay focused and stay mentally strong. It will get better
I feel ur pain I have made a cut either but all we can do is keep going and gain experience no tourney isn't never worth it u gain experience with every tourney u bowl
When you don’t get lined up on practice it makes for a long day. Try and stay positive. One recommendation focus on small things. I would focus on your first step and push away to make sure they are always the same. From the video it seemed like your arm swing was all over the place today and that usually happens when you have a sporadic start.
When I start off with a bad game, I try not to stress about needing to play perfectly in the following games. Instead, I use the first game to experiment with adjustments, like shifting my position or tweaking my revs, to match the oil pattern. I’ve realized it’s okay to feel nervous when trying new techniques, but I keep adjusting until I find a sweet spot that works. Once I do, I can carry that into the next games and usually improve quickly. Now, I see the first game as a chance to find my rhythm, rather than worrying about getting it right immediately. I don't know if you find this tip helpful, but don't try to bowl that first game perfect, but instead use it as practice to learn the lane.
I would definitely go to see a personal coach, stay away from the online coaches.. Way better in person and hands on face to face is the proper way to go, couple times a week for however long it takes you.. Help you with your hand positioning, follow thru and how to read lanes and when to make the proper ball changes. If you wanna get better and be able to compete with the big boys i would definitely get a personal one on one coach.
I hate it when things don't go as planned especially when I notice it's my balance and approach. That's me though. I'm sure it will be different another day for you.
Just curious if you ever go to a coach? Its a couple hours from Windsor but Andy at Jax 60 in Jackson Michigan is an amazing coach. Just throwing ideas out. I feel your pain. Keep your head up.
I bowl at Leisure Lanes and they do a ‘sport shot’ night on Thursday’s throughout the summer. It’s great practice but very humbling, especially those short patterns. This game is a lot like golf. It will take years of practice and experience to figure out all the tiny intricacies of it. Just don’t let it bring you down. What is this ‘Players Tour’? There isn’t much info about it online.
@@Kurt_Ridgewell you just might not bowl enough. 200 on house is gonna be about 160-170 on tough patterns. most of the scratch bowling over here in Michigan take about 200 average to make cuts. staying away from splits and making spares with get you into cuts usually. good luck and keep working on it.
There's a reason why the pros don't bowl on patterns like this. They'd struggle to get to even. When a bunch of skilled bowlers are all lost, the pattern is the problem.
I don't think the pros would have any problems. I've bowled with them and they are just lightyears ahead of most bowlers and there mental game is crazy good. I've never bowled in Canada to see what the lane surfaces and patterns play like so I could be wrong.
Brad Miller is the best bowler by far on here. he's the only one I've seen in the PBA. Darren???? boo just over 600 a LOW 600 series heheheheheHA! he can barley get 200
Well this is the pre tournament qualifier for the world series of bowling, Darren bowled well and made it in! You'll see more recognizable PBA bowlers in the next video I post! Thanks for watching :)
Hey man, what do you think of NIJISANJI EN? I think their content is perfect for you! They definitely have a clean track record and they just announced a collab with the NBA!
I wounder when Brad Miller no longer had enough hair to comb over (in the 11th grade probably?) but at least he don't have moles all over his face like Kyle Sherman does YUCK! please NO close ups on Kyle Sherman! permanent black heads all over his body, YUCK! called moles. who enjoys Moley white bread
