Raag Jog is The Blues ! the netherworld between the western major and minor can be thought of with both Ghandar notes of this beautiful evening raag.........
KG, your music is an inspiration! The size of a surbahar is limited to only two factors: the size of available gourds, and the size of available wood for the tabli. So, I am curious, how wide IS the tabli? and, what is the length of the scale? Many thanks!
@@shardamusicstudio2596 Amazing. And the gourd is apparently wider. One imagines good-quality wood of this width is nearly impossible to find. It must take great hand and finger strength to play this instrument!
You have succeeded in mastering the been ang of surbahar. I would humbly urge you to listen to the renditions of Pt. Santosh Banerjee for deeper insights. Thank you for the wonderful Jog.
Thank you so much for your kind words, but I dont think I have mastered anything after just few years of Surbahar.... I do already listen to Pt Santosh Bannerjee as he is also my Dada Guru and I enjoy his touch in alaap 🙏🎶
Very good video! I'm very impressed with your playing and your respect for the instrument and music! I would like to correspond with you if you'd care to!
A beautiful instrument, though large and played with controll and dedication! Enchanting tones! Surely your your teachers and most viewers will appreciate this rendition! Thanks for the video!
Lovely - dhanyavaad. Suvrat was very lucky to meet you when he went to work in Sweden, (and you to meet him I think. I find his playing, unlike that of a lot of tabla players, very sensitive - hereally listens to what his companion is playing!)
