I make (mostly) reaction videos. I don't talk while I'm watching because that's not how I watch things, but I hope to build conversation anyway.

Good Evening, Fernwood is the main show for now. We have watched all of Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman together and are now watching Fernwood 2 Night.

After that, I plan to watch some classics, diversify a bit. Come watch along!

I was there at the panel. My question was at 31:24. I was in the middle row in the front but not front front. I was in the vip seats.

I have to disagree with Neil regarding Tom's treatment of Mary. he yells at her most of the time, flying off the handle, and acts like a child. Dennis on the other hand has always been decent to Mary and I hope they end up together. Heather does not love Mary and either does Tom, as they are not respectful of her.

Watching this, especially the 1st segment with Mary, Cathy, and Loretta, I kept thinking about ‘Carol Burnett Show’s’ take-off on it! So hilarious! 😂😂 I loved Loretta.

I’m jealous of emotional you get watching these relationship scenes. It’s fun watching with you. Thanks for posting these videos. I used to watch some of them with my mom when I was a kid. She was really into it. Now I’m obsessed. Ha.

I just started watching at season 2 episode 1. Thank you for uploading this, it's is good satire. I was born in 1970 and remember several 70's programs. I never saw this though. What about Soap? That was the one my parents tuned into every week, and it was the only program off limits to me. But I could hear it from my bedroom. That combined with my parents laughter drove me to sneak a peek every now and then. And yes it was very funny. Just curious to know if you've seen that show. It was controversial at the time and got quite a bit of press. I think it's available for streaming on Tubi now.

This show is so funny I'm laughing out loud!! I don't understand how Alan Thicke, et al, could put this show together for summer replacement and get all these actors and musicians and writers and comedians together for such a hilarious satire of late night talk shows!! Brilliant! 👏

If that's your "bag"... I haven't heard that since the 70's!! Now they say, if that's your " thing"... or "if that floats your boat", etc.👏

The Kenneth Mars/Fannie Flagg segment here is one of the funniest things ever! They're totally committed to these deeply weird characters and it's pretty much all improvised. Mars almost loses it at one point when Flagg snaps at him suddenly (again). The Happy Kyne reaction shot later on is pure gold. **How is the guy in the box not laughing more?**

The look on the face of this guy who is playing this is the exact look I have when Mary Hartman show came on when I was young and the look I have right now on my face while watching this. She is so bizarre

If I can note: It was around this time that news came out of Louise Lasser announcing she would not return for a 3rd season. Some sources wrote that Norman Lear was weighing the consideration to continue the Fernwood lore without MH.

This show had no fear in addressing the issues of the day and challenging the audience in ways that seem foreign to the current day. This show is uncomfortable to watch and addictive at the same time.

This episode particularly but most of the second season reminds me of Joseph Heller's book Something Happened published in 1974. The book is partly parody but mostly a scathing analysis of American culture in the mid Seventies

I recognize that feeling. Last night, I was lamenting to the security guy about the number of 6.5 feet tall men about 360° around me. Kinda the only way I could watch a lot of the show was through my camera as high as my shoulder would allow. I hope you had fun!
