That is my favorite car,I have c5z06 supercharged, but one of these years, I would love to get my hands on nice camaro like yours! Absolutely beautiful car!
That was a good decision. This is a good car with 400/450 hp and that’s all you need. It will be a good cruiser something reliable that you can drive anywhere.
@etienneolden so far, so good! The pedal is not great but love the welder so far. Have a project coming up in the next week or two here to put it to the test more!
I want to replace my valve lifters and I need to clean my camshaft cap mating surfaces before adding the new RTV and putting everything back together again. My problem is how I can clean the old RTV materials without letting them enter oil channels while cleaning and scraping. I don't want to clog oil galleries and probably oil pump pick-up tube and cause lubrication issues. It is almost impossible to cover all the channels and galleries before doing the cleaning.
@Messergebnis-liebhaber yes it is hard, usually I try and plug what I can with paper towel. Depending on the area sometimes rinse with brake clean and compressed air.
I know this is SUPER dated. But i noticed the back of your MS ecu says LS1 24X modification. I cannot find any info anywhere to comfirm my ecu will work with my LS, or what i have to do in order to make it so. Any info ?
@russmurdoch8547 figure out where it was purchased from! The ms2 gets modified with resistors to run the ls, it is something people used to do but they just sell them done now
the reason you can run leaner on ethanol is because of how the Bosch O2 sensor calculates the AFR. It actually calculates in lambda, and on your configuration of the holley software you likely have your base fuel set as pump gas not e85, if the e85 base fuel was selected the lambda would convert to an e85 AFR instead of a gas AFR. ie the actual stoich afr of e85 is 9.8 or so but that would read as 1.00 lambda. so it reads in your afr table as a leaner value even though it is still a richer value than what it would be on gas. you don't need to know all this which is awesome but i think it is helpful and cool to know and understand.
Thank You brother!!! Saturday night I added a little E85 to my street car (with flex sensor) and barely made it home, the car stalled just as I pulled into the driveway. I had all those unnecessary adder/modifier tables enabled it fouled the plugs. Changed spark plugs, watched your video, edited tune. Sunday AM: Spanked 2 sport bikes! Woo Hoo!!!
I have an ls3 swapped into a 90s gmc truck and I installed the m10295 as well and having the same problem… how long did you run the car with this pump in it before you swapped the pump out? Trying to see if I can just swap pumps after an upcoming car show 😅
Great video. I'm nearing completion of my 8:50 Fairmont. Your regional NHRA or IHRA inspectors are really helpful for common questions too, so you don't get surprised when you get to the track
Which color scotch bright or grit size did you use? I see a lot of mechanics using the maroon version which is pretty abrasive. Which one do you recommend?
Great video. Just an FYI, the 10k resistor to 5 volts is known as a pull up resistor. I've seen a few videos with guys using 5 watt resistors, a 1/4 watt is pelnty. I use Dale resistors from Digikey.
I always just send the block and the head off to a machine shop to get em decked and hot tanked just makes my life easier but sweet video tho thanks for the insight
I buy harbor freight wrenches and cut the box end to slip over the hose. I also made them short to fit in tight spots. I have the an wrench but I needed a short wrench and this is what i came up with. Now I use that more than the an wrench.
Could you help me, I have purchased the same welder and I am unable to even creat a pool. My settings are start amps .5 - peak amps have tried 80~120 - ac frequency 60hz ac balance 50 - down slope 1 - finish amps 10 - post flow 1.5. I have played around with it but I’m starting to think maybe the machine is faulty?
@henrysmith625 how thick is the material? Torch needs to be very close to metal and to start a puddle on 1/8 aluminum may take you 5 seconds. The cleaning action will clean first and then you'll see a puddle start to form. No idea on up or down slope I'm not fancy like that. If you've got the pedal current is adjusted on the pedal
@henrysmith625 I can't remember to be honest, for 1/8 aluminum I'd be at around 125amps, ac of course, 50% ac balance. I don't ever touch the up and down slopes so whatever it came at 🤣
Nice bro. I have a Lq9 , mast heads t4 s480 4l80 with the same converter Holley Dominator. My converter is a little tight and I can’t build but 5 lbs on foot brake Two step at 3400. I haven’t tried dumping the timing out yet because I thought you want to keep timing in to make more torque on a auto set up but I’ll try it.
** side note this was all purchased 2020, except the tig** I have MIG 250, CUT 40, and just finished buying one of these about a week ago..... the MIG 250 has been great, only thing I"d consider is upgrading the torch as when going too long parts of it start to melt a bit(although cheap to replaceable parts); there was some issue when I ordered it relating to my contact info and they amazoned me my unit(despite being bought off aliexpress) and than later insisted on sending me a wire role as it was part of the original listing....... the CUT 40 came with high frequency start, few people on youtube suggest hf only works on clean stuff but haven't had issues going through paint:P..... I don't know when I will get to use the Tig as I have to get argon first(expensive, but the unit itself was currently cheapest I"ve seen up till now)..... up to now definitely like hitbox:D
So , the main wire from the old fuse , like the stud on the radiator support and run a wire to the power distribution module, either in the trunk or stock location? Right? I have been looking for this answer and you saying a big wire to the old fuse panel leaves a lot out, know what I mean eh??
@@davecolquhoun9315 yes essentially I run the stock fusebox feed to the back of the car because the battery is back there. That feed then gets fused at the back of the car. I'm not sure how the stock wiring was/is in this car
I couldn't find CRCs "Gasket Kleen" (with a K lol) anywhere not even a Google search lol. Eventually I found it under google images on Canadian Amazon and 1 website. I can't add stuff to my cart on American Amazon from Canadian Amazon, it wants me to sign in on Canadian Amazon web pages but I haven't tried to. I was able to find CRCs "Gasket Remover" in a red can like the "Gasket Kleen" and some green can. That stuff looked like it worked out phenomenal that's why I was trying to get my hands on it lol plus I'm prolly about to resurface blocks and heads. I'll prolly grab the CRC Gasket Remover maybe it's the same thing although I think the Remover is cheaper but that green can I was talking about might be about the same price. Hopefully whatever I get works out as good. Good vid 👍. Hey fill those valve chambers with water to see if any leaks out past the valves, that'll tell u if you need to lap the valves but you prolly know this already lol.
hey friend , i wonder if the foot pedal is pressure sensitive? like does it lower or raise amperage by pressure ? or is it just a regular on off switch ?
I have the same unit but seem to have trouble with the variable amperage. Is there an adjustment that I’m missing or something that would rectify this? If I set it to 125 for 1/8inch as soon as I back off that 125 the arc stops.
Rig up some air filters for the case to keep dust out if you are grinding anywhere near it those small pieces of airborne metal can be drawn in and settle on the boards and cause big problems. We went through several Everlast machines back when they first came out due to this!
I bought a 2002 Silverado 2500hd 6.0engine to put in my 02 suburban 1500 5.3 4x4 but the 5.3 had short crank the 6.0 has the long crank how do I make it work
