Wow! The pregame show has become considerably more complicated since I was in the Blue Band in the early 1980s. Far more spinning and cross rank marching. Also, when I was there, once we were in the tunnel, we just waited for the team to enter. I am going to have to do an alumni band homecoming to experience this for myself!
How did you hide the camera? Was it hidden in your hat with a cut-out on the PSU logo? Or was it hidden in your plume. It seems well attached. All those sharp about-turns and it’s very well secured. Pro level. This is what I’m most impressed about! How did you do it?
I love watching the Penn State Blue Band. I watch this video every day. WE ARE PENN STATE!!! I will be putting Isaiah Penn State jersey on. Mommy doesn't even have a jersey. Isaiah is my fury four legged Shihpoo
Wow. First few times i watch it I started to get dizzy with all the sudden sharp turns! Amazing how coordinated and carefully choreographed it is, and how much practice hard work you guys must do to get it perfect for gameday!
My cousins go to Penn State, one wants to be apart of the band! I’m a saxophone player in my school’s marching band, and I KNOW that’s the hardest ways to carry a sax (one hand near the bottom and keeping it as vertical as possible). My school’s marching band scrapped that way and we now hold it horizontally with both hands. I sill am amazed how you guys keep your lines so straight (I know it’s practice, but still)!
Griffin Cardwell what will you play? Anyway you should do it no matter what. Of course its going to cost a lot but it will be worth it. You will get a lot of new friends. I was in pit and freshmen year in high school right now. I loved it. You will make lots of new friends
know somebody who plays lead trumpet here (a past neighbor of mine) im wanna join the blue band to play trumpet but i feel like it'll be too nuch to handle with a physics major given jow busy i was in high school marching band...
You gotta have good memory just like any military marching band to know where the fck you're going when you have to be in different spots with every different person you come across and you have to professionally do this correctly or else you might screw up and get lost track. It's not easy as you think. You would have to keep practicing every day without being on your phone for months 😅😂
And I'm gen z myself and I don't know how my generation does it while being glued to the radioactive phone screen every day and have gold fish like memory where you can't remember a damn thing 😳😂 I'm glad I never signed up for no marching band in high school or in college for that matter lol.
