Chorley Photographic Society is one of the UK’s premier photography clubs. We were founded back in 1896 when photography was young and we are still at the forefront of photography! Photography is an exciting hobby and when people buy their first digital camera they frequently look for guidance, inspiration or how to take better photographs. Chorley Photographic Society can provide that guidance and help and our members have a wide array of skills and knowledge, ranging from the “keen to learn” beginner through to the professional. We are committed to the advancement of photography as a craft and an art form, while promoting friendship, cooperation and the exchange of ideas among members.
Comple wrong way to do it ,never use normal sellotape and hinge mount the print if you do it as shown the print has no room to move as it expands or contracts with the room temperature and will wrinkle I wouldn't let someone mount a print for me in this way, I'm a pro framer
Hi Michael …… thank you for your comment ….. yes most of us at CPS mount our prints by hanging with tape from the top then putting double sided tape all round the mount to attach to the backing board so it floats as you say
Hello, I really like your photos of puffins on the island of Laugua. I would like to go there in July but I'm afraid of the Midges. What time of year were you there? THANKS
Love the video. I'm looking to get my first propper camera for this sort of thing and have about £650 to spend. If I get something like a nikon 750/7200d would you suggest a 400mm or 300mm lens? Thank you
This is profiling, not calibrating. You calibrate the device, but profile the video output with color offsets to make the displayed colours drift to the desired values. Simply You have too much green +5% on a monitor, you take the green from the output and set it to -4,5% (95,5%) and get almost 0 after display adds 5% to its 95,5% source = 100,275%
I followed the channel at some point but for some reason didn’t have it set to All Notifications, thankfully I came across it again when I typed in “Manchester Photography” as I regularly go there. I’m from Manchester but have lived in Horwich for the past 16 years, I’m passionate about Street Photography but also enjoy Land/Seascapes, anything really, Castlefield was the first place I went when I bought my entry level Canon DSLR about 7 years ago, they, along with my backpack full of lenses etc, then me ended up falling down one of the embankments ( if that’s the right word ) at Tigers Clough, suffice to say I no longer use any of that gear and bought the Fuji Xt3 with the insurance, which I’ve struggled to get along with but financial constraints mean I’ve no choice for now. Great video and look forward to watching more, I’ve noticed some I’m really interested in already.
Great video. I have just started shooting concerts and i have a D750 so i found this really interesting. The D750 is quite new to me and i am still quite nervous about using Hish ISO. I guess i need to learn more about noise reduction in post
Really pleased I came across your RU-vid channel. I have a Giottis M951B aluminium Professional Tripod. The problem I have is one section of the leg has worked loose is this something that you could help me with…do you do tripod servicing. Another problem is that the long threaded bolt head seems to have rounded off meaning I’m unable to get an Allen key in to be able to tighten it up. Many thanks.
Thank you for the video. I have been using a battered old Manfrotto tripod but will be getting my first decent tripod on Wednesday. I live on the coast and wanted to maintain it. Perfect demonstration and detailed explanation now I will confidently keep it in working order.
Late I know but I'm just giving photography a shot after many, many years and going give this a go end of month when i'm in Lakes for a few days,I defo picked up some pointers there, thank you, liked and subbed. PS- black list the word Flixzone as below, they are bots and its a scam.
Thanks for the video Will, I am tempted to use a drop of oil on the screw thread when re-assembling the clips...is that a No... No...? Secondly the tensioning of the screw actually alters the tension of the clip itself not the in and out movement of the leg.
Here is a short video compilation of my results. The coloring was added in post either by changing white balance or blending gradients in. photos.sangrephotography.com/Macro/Smoke/i-MRzCww4/A
Thank you so much! You just helped me with my maturita exam from design! I don't own a tripod. I just needed to know how leg lock works and how it looks inside. :)
