They are called neutral density gel sheets, they reduce the amount of light hitting the camera sensor. I included some links in the description on where to buy them if you're interested to give it a try.

As you can see on the video, I cut the lens size and inserted in the foam core and it holds itself :)

It's been a blast! I suppose he did since it was real small venue (capacity less than 1000), he said it himself that it's quite rare for them to play for such a small audience but that's what they miss a lot :) ..

Hi, you can get them in your local camera store, or online, even Amazon has them for few dollars, just search for "ND Gel Sheet" or "Neutral Density gel sheet" :)

Patrick de Flandre the cheapest ND filters I found were for about 50-70€ in regular camera store..not really a cheap thing

I disagree, look online, €13 for 3 filters with sheath. Makes a great deal right? The loss of quality with that filter you made is going to be much worse probably than with a industrial fabricated filter. Anyone can afford the €13 right? Of course you can get cheap filters online. What I was mentioning are high quality Lee ND filters (sheet I'm using in the video is Lee as well). It's just an alternative for people who doesn't want to spend loads of money and get creative..you can have multiple sizes/strenghts filters for all your lenses for 6€ ..the same with cheap ND filters online you can achieve for lets say 3 different lenses 39€ + shipping..there is no right or wrong option, just alternatives :) photography is for sure not a cheap hobby..nobody claims that.thanks for commenting and happy shooting! ✌️📸

yes, the high end Lee filters are extremely pricy (or over priced). they are hand made though, but so are yours :) indeed no right or wrong, happy shooting to you to and keep up the good work

Vzhledem k tomu že v aj je to "neutral density gel sheet" tak asi něco jako polarizační gel / filtr, popiš jim to a oni budou vědět :) je to prostě plát folie, která má polarizační schopnosti. a určitě když to navrstvíš tak to zvětší účinnost. Co je ale chyták, že se to nesmí poškrábat ani trochu, protože pak ten i sebemenší škrábanec láme světlo a zničí ti to výslednej záběr...dej vědět jestli si to sehnal, pokud ne tak v Lednu jedu do Čech..

It's a ND (neutral density) sheet, kinda gel paper with the same features as regular (and expensive) ND filters.

+Aman Marfatia if you want smooth water effect try using a welding glass.It will give you almost 10 stops
