Got mine today.. Not really liking it.. Doesn't run smooth at all, quite hard actually. Choil spot is for my kids fingers.. Not impressed. I mean, its a 16€ knife in my case, but I have another eafengrow and its quite better.. Its a shame, I wanted so bad.. Looks badass.. I'll leave it in my car..
I have a few Eaffengrows and although they say it's D2 steel, I seriously doubt that it is. I've done some compairisons and the Eaffengrows just seem a little off. Not that they aren't great blades, I just question the authenticity of the D2. On my Cold Steel fixed blades that I carry regularly, I replace the belt loop with the Cold Steel C-clips, usually the small ones. You can use them with or without a belt and not have to worry whether or not the sheath with stay put. They grip very well, even without a belt. I like the SRK for EDC, in combination with a large folder like the Recon 1 or Code 4, and a small fixed blade, sometimes a kneck knife, depending on the situation.
Their folders are d2, I am going to assume from my usage with the fixed blades that the under $40 are actually likely a 9cr. Their higher end DC53 blades are legitimately DC53 which is essentially non powder cruwear
I don't have any way of legitimizing the steel in my Eafengrow 121, but I have been using it to carve all of the useful notches into seasoned birch and other assorted branches that I have laying around the yard, when I'm not out in the woods. It holds and edge very well and carves notches well to. It's not the "perfect" edc for me, but it is a great little knife for general purpose use!
Thanks for the video man! I need to apologize to you though. That qc card should say of 400. I'm so sorry about that. I'm not sure how I did that. I hope that doesn't affect how you feel about the design. Im glad you've enjoyed it so far, and I really appreciate your support🤜💥🤛 Again I'm so sorry for my mistake.
Love yhe submersed blade that tucks inside the frame...the sub relief on that titanium frame lock ...gorgeous. ok ill quit comment bombing. Im impressed , thank you for sharing. 🤘😎
@@PivotalBlades You’re welcome! Awesome… I’m looking forward to it: I’m in the middle of reviewing all 10 of the RCB traditionals. I think I’ve done 5 so far.
@@TimsSchoolOfFish That is awesome. Looking forward to seeing those. They only had six out of the ten left by the time I heard of the company. Day late dollar short.
@@PivotalBlades Hopefully they release some more and you can snag them. They’re releasing the Clinch River Swayback with smoky gray bone covers soon. I love RCB and all of Andy Armstrong’s designs.
I’ve not had any luck with Sitivien. I tried one of their high end ones because I didn’t like any of the budget ones… ended up sending it back. In my opinion, Ganzo’s Firebird line is much better in that price range. Good stuff brother! 👊🏻
Come on bro! 🔥🔥🔥 Been looking at this one for a minute! Love that fat bellied modified sheepsfoot. Reminds me of my Divo Growler V2. Good stuff brother👊🏻
KC has alive tonight 10/02. The regular Microburst he has left will be on sale for 79 I think. Then he has some special one limited to 30 pieces that will be 92. It will go live at 7Central 8EST. So good. Thanks for watching
Love that fat belly! PF has some good ones. Sometimes those hollow grinds are so shallow you can’t tell. When it’s like that, I just call it a flat grind🤣 Good stuff brother! 👊🏻
Rat is a classic, but Penguin for this ole boy! I love a sheepsfoot or Wharny blade… they’re just so versatile. The Penguin Plus is awesome too! Two bangers right there my friend. Good stuff brother 👊🏻
I've been looking at the plus but with 13 kiddos I have to save for sure then there is so many I see that I like. I like all knives. But love the Penguin.
Miguron is killing it! Some of the best value in the game! I mean titanium clips under $50… that’s awesome! The Centurion and Moyarl are my faves, but this one is sweet too. Good stuff, brother 👊🏻
Made a point to put the Microburst in my pocket today! It's light yet extremely solid. Opening and closing has no rattle or looseness. KC and Kubey did a great job!
@@PivotalBlades get a collection of opinions. To me it started off cool...like for 4 or 5 minutes but I was listening on a car stereo so please don't just take my suggestion. I'm older than dirt too 😆😆 the rest of your viewers may love it. 😎🤘 I'm good either way.
I just want to thank you. Just starting out and trying to figure this out. As they say hard to teach an old dog new tricks. I was blown away by the kindness of you all subscribing.
