I just received a pair I'm the same color! Love them. 1st owner cleaned with saddle soap and polished them now there have a couple areas that look significantly lighter then they normally would be. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get the deeper matte look back? Cheers!

Will do. I prefer the P-79 last. The almond shaped toe box on the C-55 seems a tad pointy for my taste. And the sizing felt different. Had to remove my only C-55 last from rotation.
I recently purchased a pair in the same leather, although I am pretty sure mine are going to come with the chunkier commando sole. Those boots look even more beautiful in your video that they do on the website, and I am sure in person they are just stunning. I think overall so far I like the look of Truman boots with the Dainite-like sole or their Eugene sole, the sleeker look just looks perfect with how robust the rest of the boot is. So glad I came across your video, I am even more excited for mine to get delivered tomorrow!
Thanks for watching. To each their own. Similarly, I prefer a sleeker silhouette for my needs. So, I usually get the unstructured toe and dainite soles. However, I feel dainite is not the best for all conditions like the commando soles. The commando soles gives a more rugged look but i don’t think it makes the boot look too chunky. I do have some Trumans with their Eugene soles. Those soles are my sweet spot. You can check my other videos for those specs. I think you made a great choice in leather as it’s very robust and there is depth in the color. Enjoy!
Have you received the boots yet? If so, how do you like the commando sole? I heard complaints about rocks getting easily stuck to it or too small of a surface area.
I have a pair from last years MTO. I was pretty surprised at how thick the leather is, even compared to my other Trumans. They are beasts. I can tell they are going to last a long time. I have months of wear on them now, and there is barely a crease. I cant wait until they patina. They dont seem to patina as fast as natural CXL. I think these are ones you have to be patient with and enjoy over the years.
The difference is the last and silhouette. The fit of the P-79 works better for my foot issues and has a more rugged look. Also, the leather: seems like the double shot has a bit more depth than the brown cxl. To each their own. Hope that helps. If you have more questions, catch me on IG.

Thank you so much for comparison to 79 last. I couldn't decide C55 or 79 which $100 different in price as 55 less expensive (MTO). In video doesn't show much different between two. I have a couple of iron rangers so don't need 79 last for now. Cheers.
