I have been playing Ludwig for 40+ years. All my favorite music/players, played Ludwigs. My latest acquisition was a Supralite 14"x 8" steel snare drum.
Hi Anthony, Greeting from Cork Ireland. I use my H8 for audio for my shorts and documentary. Also for sound design. The shape of it does not bother me at all. I use it 100% in field mode and yes I have used six inputs together when I recorded a classical concert with Piano and two sopranos. 2 mics on piano, one on each singer and two for room ambience. Worked a treat. No clipping either as I was able to do a level test during rehearsal. The Preamps are 3db lower than the H6, also it has excellent gain (no cloud lifter is needed for the SM7B) I don't own one but I got that info from review by Curtis Judd.
There is a lot going on with this guitar that doesn't meet the eye...all those pickups are Fishman Fluence, meaning they are....well, I think the term "noiseless" isn't quite accurate...I would call them "humless"...I think this could be a cover band player's dream...this guitar I think can do absolutely everything as far as tone versatility goes...I can hardly wait for it to be available here in the USA. I could mod my guitars with them...I might put them in my Ernie Ball Silhouette...it would need an HSH set, though...thanks for the video.
The same drummers crying on here about "what was that 😤" sound like the guitarist that if you don't play a hair band lead they are like "are even a real guitarist 🤨".
Just fyi to anyone hating on this guy… just know that he plays in 2 huge bands - Dashboard Confessional and The Avett Brothers. He has also recorded a gold record with legendary Rick Rubin.
I was relistening to A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar and realized how ridiculous the drumming is on the album. Couldn't believe he's in the Avett Brothers now. Glad to see he's continued his success because he's absolutely phenomenal at what he does.

Before I knew anything about audio I blindly bought the F1 early on and lucked into all the different mic modules for a great price. I am still learning as I go but I love the versatility and small footprint of the F1.Cheers

Always liked Pearl, Tama and Ludwig. I appreciate the quality of drums from Taiwan. I wonder how much longer Taiwan will be a free country. The threat from China is inevitable.

OK Ludwig, you make the greatest drums in the world and I’ve probably pumped more of my non-disposable income into your products than I should. But you all need to learn something about marketing! Let us see you and hear more of the actual drums and tell us more about them! Your marketing was much better in the 70s… Yes it’s been that long.
These legends are one of my favorite live bands I've every seen. I really hope they are let off Convict Island so they can tour in the States next summer...
