The Dynamic Superiors were from Washington, D. C. and recorded on Motown Records label. The songs on their first two albums were mostly written by the husband-and-wife team Ashford & Simpson. They recorded with moderate success throughout the 1970s. One of their bestselling hits was "Shoe, Shoe Shine" in 1975. They were unique in that Tony Washington was openly gay, and sometimes dressed in drag onstage.
This brotha had some serious pipes! There were so many great sounding under-rated groups back in the 1970s like these guys. They may not have had as many top charted songs but the ones that did have stood the test of time.
Motown has/had so many great singers. Wow they are great Tony Washington in particular! Michael Jackson is my favourite artist but I love so much Motown artists.
One of my favorite songs, Leave it Alone, written by Ashford & Simpson. And one of my favorite singers, Tony Washington. He had a voice that could do everything, so good. One of a kind. And the choreography, damn.
SoulMann King… I’ve noticed the response your post and other posts have received relating to Tony Washington. Many have called for a long-overdue bio-pic of Tony Washington’s life to be made. Please pardon my ignorance… might you, your team, your connections, or simply a group of us who agree…begin a campaign or petition for such a respectful production to be made as a posthumous honor for Tony Washington? I thank you in advance for your reply. May Tony Washington Rest in Eternal Peace! 🙏🕯☮️💟✝️ (And, may an honor finally be bestowed upon him that is due a Motown King!) Amen!
Nice playing when they added the female to do the dancing to keep your mind off watching that whatever you want to call lead singer. No wonder this wasn't getting played when I was younger and my house my dad wouldn't have never went for that. 😆😆😆😆
