Gonna give my thoughts on each theme cuz why not. I'm surprised people like SC6's theme so much, compared to the others it always felt so generic to me, like it could be in any random game. It also really starts irritating me after only like two or three loops. I know people hate SC5 (rightfully, because it sucked) but its theme is waaay better than 6's to me, not my favourite though. SC4 is very nostalgic to me, it edges a bit on the generic side as well but doesn't irritate me hearing it on loop, I think because it loops more naturally and sounds less over-the-top. SC3 is a little more forgettable to me, never stays in my mind, but it does its job well. I think SC2 might be my favourite due to nostalgia but it does have a pleasant progression to it. SC1 is good, really sells the "welcome to the stage of history", like you ARE about to make history. Soul Blade/Soul Edge has three OSTs, I think the Arranged char select theme (not shown in the video) is my favourite for its purpose, although the Super Khan char select theme (also not shown) is REALLY GOOD but I associate it more with Edge Master mode. The normal non-arranged theme (the one in the video) is just a less polished version of the arranged one, but is still really good. I've never heard Broken Destiny's theme before now but honestly it might be one of my new favourites, it sounds really cool.

Absolutely nothing beats the first soul cailbur on dreamcast (2nd theme in the vid) it was ahead of it's time and a legit masterpiece. All the themes are great I still play all the games (blade,1,2,3,6 nowadays)broken density is surprisingly good theme ,it's just this theme fooled me to thinking this was really part of history. And it gets you amped to play I can't tell you how epic this game felt when it came out, best one in my opinion.
Soul Calibur 2 is still may favorite one in the series. I have not played 3 onward as I never got to experience them. Anyone know which one to try out after 2 ?
Well, SCII is a tough act to follow but there are good elements in the other installments: SCIII is a very refined and elegant game (perhaps the most refined of the series), full of personality and identity, characters are well developed , with tons of extra content; its fun and enjoyable though ,gameplay-wise, all characters are very unbalanced because they are all so fast and do the same damage, so its difficult to have those kinds of 'technical' and strategic fights of SCII. SCIV on the other hand is nice but characters feel so slow; the movesets are huge, making some fights really clumsy looking, overall I think it misses a little 'zing'. SCV is the black sheep of the series because the story wasn't well developed and explored but, IMO, its a very refined, elegant installment: fights are fast paced, clever and strategic, characters and stages are visually very polished and the newcomers are interesting if you give them a shot (even if fandom hates them). SCVI is a solid game, gorgeous graphics, flashy and strategic battles but for me the game and characters feels too generic and anime-like. TL;DR: If you like the fight mecanics of SCII you should probably try SCVI and SCV.
@@ho-ohdejohto6856 let's all be honest sc3 theme is the best also because it introduced character creation and tira and setsuka and zazalamel. but right now the it's soulcalibur 6 character select theme witch is the best.
@@ho-ohdejohto6856 Absolutely agree, the 3rd was the best. I remember the storymode/gamemode where you had to create your character to take over buildings. that NEEDS to be remastered.
