Dear manager , This is Vivian from Amoy Solar, an Aluminum factory professioned on all kinds of solar mounting systems in China, I saw that your company has a demand for solar brackets. Can you give us a chance to do business with you?
the screw were installed properly and at the right tightness. They arent allowed to deform the ridges on the roof, nor deform the rubber/silicon pad too much...
Hey mate. they are on the ridge of the corrugated roof sheets. if you look properly the dark parts is the valley, the lighter (high spots) is the ridge/peak. Its clearly seend at 2:03
flat panels, still good? what is your latitude there? edit i make my own brackets out of 4x20 mm steel bar and use 4x25 angle iron, painted, for the rails, costs peanuts; i am in it to save money
Hey there. i do a little tinkering with it but not much lately. as long as its serial interface the software will work fine. but i havent been able to keep a stable connection to the units that have a USB interface. sorry for the late reply. regards Jeremy.
It would depend on where you are. I'm in Cairns Queensland. Cyclone ars so every foot for better strength against the high winds. There's no standard is 450mm apart but I did 300mm. No limit on length. I got 5m lengths and joined them.
Wow, I have two of these converters for when I finally get enough cells to make a 48V LFP solar battery. I think I'll chuck them in the bin and get the aussie one, as there is no way I am connecting $2500 worth of amateur radio gear to them now knowing that 2 have blown up, and the way this one failed, was to put out 53V on its output!
Hi Jeremy, long time fans of yours and Justin case videos. I have x2 PIP4048 that I would like to monitor on your AC/DC Power monitor. Any tips on how to set it up? I’ve downloaded the program but that’s as far as I get. Thanks Aydan
Hi Aydan. For starters its impossible to download the AC-DC Power Monitor as its not available to download and this video is very old compared to the current version.
Jeremy Ohara thanks for the reply. So the app available is only an extension of the main program. Is you main program for download somewhere or is the private. I understand if it is I just think it’s really cool what you and Justin case have done with your systems. Cheers Aydan
Hey Aydan that's ok. the client is available but i have removed the windows store one. As for the main program its not too far from being release if you been watching justin's videos you would see all of that and current changes, etc. When its available he will tell everyone it wont be free as there's alot in the program and a few services attached to it.
Hi Jeremy. Where did you get the "red" for off grid unit. Which is better for 48v . midnite classic or the kid. Want to run AC & another system for led lights any suggestions? thanks.
for starters 48v is the way to go. The red units are Giant Power IPS's But if i remember right they dont sell them. The good thing is the IPS's are just a rebrand of the MPP Solar PIP-4048's if you look up on eBay you can get them there. the classic is a good way to go as you can easily put 3kw on it and connect to a computer. The kid you can get about 1.5kw with no pc connection. I have a program i been developing and will be releasing soon that handles the classic and the ips/pip units, etc. if you get the pip's you can run multiple units in parallel and if you want to want to run 12v leds you can get a 48v - 12v step down from Giant Power and connect the LED's to it. with the system i have i run the entire house on it. that includes air-conditions, etc. just make sure you have plenty of batteries and solar.
Thanks Jeremy , I have seen those 4048's on Ebay that come from Taiwan .How much did your set up cost in total what you have today from your last video? We like the set up you have & would work for us in the bush ,as there is just the 2 of us.We are looking at a shipping container home Would it be possible if you could list every thing you have on the solar ,that i will need to build what you have. It's very confusing when your a newbie & any help i can get will benefit me ,from you that has done the trials & errors to get the system that works for you . I'll give you the wifes email addy cjp59@live.com could you title the email "Jeremy" .thanks.
Hi Jeremy . This is good info ,for people just like me thinking of going off grid ! this way i won't get talked into a system i don't really need on my small budget. 3 kw is more than enough with power to spare .You explain things so simply .thanks.
Thanks for responding , But i'm on a budget . I won't be able to afford the great batteries that every suggests. It will be the 12v. 160A deep cycle if i get a deal buying bulk. But in saying that for Us, 48v is the way to go !
Hoi, can you tell me how long the current and the serial cable is for the parallel system? Because i want to place the inverters under each other and not next to each other. Thx kristof
Hello Jeremy: I was looking for sofewear that you are running in your SYS. Could you help kme out with it. I have a midiite solar Classic charger and like what you are running . thank you for your time. Neil Las Vegas
as long as you have fun and learn along the way :-) just ordered some breakers myself. think I'll do a few single pole breakers in the junction box, and possibly a main double pole breaker, but unsure if I really need it.
like the inverters and the vids like chrises too but buying such is near impossible. they only sell to dealers/installers etc. its only ebay for most solar tech in qld. great vid and hope you do more. thanks phil
thanks for that. I'm not a dealer nor an installer. they should be letting you buy it. I've know alot of people who have brought them and arent either. so don't know where your trying to get them from. if you brought off ebay there's only 1 seller i would suggest and thats maximum_solar. Thanks again. i'll be doing more very soon
Hi Jeremy - nice well explained video. You may be able to help me. We have had a query on our forum about the Infinisolar 5kW hybrid that Justin uses. Does it have it own separate communication protocol or does it use the same protocol as the PIPs? If it is different could you point me in the right direction to getting a copy of the communication protocol?
+Daniel Drumheller Mine works very good. had no troubles with it and cos my batteries are new they will keep my batteries in good condition. Alot of other people are using and they have found they have improved their old battery performance. They do take a while for it to desulfate your batteries depending how old they are and how you suing and how you charge them and how much calcium is on the plates. But you will see the batteries slowly pickup over time.
Problem is that you started out by saying that for a few days you have to buy from the grid because you don't have enough solar yet. The numbers you show reflect a system that is not complete yet to use 100% solar.
+Un Real No shit i never said i was off grid. i said i ran my house every few days off batteries. and i have always said i have to get more panels. LOL You don't pay attention. By the way i know who you are
