When I saw this a few weeks ago, I thought that might be a little too much of a hassle ….. until I had to work on my tractor. This past week I had to work on the tractor with the loader still attached & sure enough, I had to lean over the loader rails. My belt buckle was at the same elevation as the grease fittings and I got grease all over the front of my shorts and tee shirt. As soon as I saw what I did, I thought of this video. Thanks for posting!
That’s what was originally intended by John Deere. But being there are others 3D printing a solution shows an obvious “need or want” this is an easy DIY solution . Info is free thanks for posting
Few questions. I bought that wire with fuse. Does it matter what one it plugs into. And when I do plug into second one down or any of them and power probe the common screw it says negative every time. But I power probe the fuse box without a fuse in it. It says power. How can it reverse polarity at common screw on activation switch.
Looking to do this mod when I pick up my 1025 but can't seem to find a filter and housing with the sensor. Do you have a link or part number you bought?
Great write up, I just finished the install on my 2025r,which is similar to the 1025R but…. The 2025R, although it’s very very similar to the 1025R, has a fender brace bar that runs directly under the place where the switch would be mounted on the 1025R. I had to fab up a mount using a 1” piece of square tube that I fed thru the bar and mounted it to the base, then mounted the switch to the bottom of the square tube. Took me longer than it normally would take but doable if you want it. And I had to buy one of the “Jesus” clips from the dealer because my tractor ate one of them somewhere in the frame😀 Thanks for the write up👍
Glad it was helpful for you Also glad you could utilize On your rig. I’m sure if you had to do it again it would take half the time . First time always takes the longest.
