Blade Mate Lawn Care is a family owned business located in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales. This page is here to share some of my work, and engage with like-minded people. Since January 2021, revenue from videos on this channel have been used as a means to fund free weekly yard clean ups for some people on hard times, and I want to thank you for stopping by and being a part of that journey! - Sean
🌸💖🌸I enjoyed watching the transformation from a Vietnam jungle to a normal yard. This was the worse yard I have seen, and I follow several RU-vid channels! On top of that, you did it completely alone! ❤ You are a go-getter! You are amazing! You have the heart of a warrior! I mean that! Kudos to you, Sir! 💖🌸💖
wow great job lads that was very hard work i'm sure that family must be so pleased with your efforts i'm sure they never could have afforded you all in normal circumstances hats off to you all xxx
No cause some people can’t afford 1,300 + $$ yard clean ups and its helping the needy not hurting the needy by taking their money. Leave that to people that can pay big money to have an upkeep of their fancy gardens!
OMG.... I'm speechless. This job was an absolute blessing to this woman. What an angel of a man he is. Every neighbor surrounding this house should have helped him. At the very least offered to in physical or financial help because of the eyesore that it was. This man's heart to help is incredibly large generous. What a beautiful way to bless that woman and that community as well.
Thank you for sharing. My lawn has been uncut for at least a year, so your video is inspiring me. It’s so cool to see an Australian property. So many questions! Are those water storage bins? Is that a metal fence? I’m in a dry area just East of San Francisco. I just retired and making my yard and house as the next project!!
Interesting that the vine you pulled off the washing line/shrub/fence was morning glory. Here in the UK, we have bindweed. It looks almost the same and has the same growth habit and is a thoroughly invasive weed and a pain in my arse!
There must be a different kind of grass than in the US. It looks like it’s thatched and very thick. I love how you tackle some of those yards with that walk behind mower no matter how tall the grass is. You can mow any grass with a sharp blade on your mower and I know yours is razor sharp. Beautiful transformation after your excellent work
I am very cautious about using weed prevention chemicals. I used to love using them until a friend of mine got blood cancer and told me it was most likely from her over use of weed chemicals. I now have a hard time bringing myself to use weed killer chemicals.
What a weed mat does do is reduce the root depth. This can help prevent certain undesirable plants from taking hold. Likewise, it can prevent some strong root systems from getting out of control, under your patio, into your foundation, and our of your plumbing. You should definitely be aware that when you use them in a vegetable garden (raised bed), it will effect your produce yield. I experimented with multiple depths. I had 30, 60, 90, and 120cm soil depths. The 120cm almost always outperformed the others. Now a word to the wise. I am removing these and its not exactly easy to remove the weed mat now that there is so much dirt on top of it.
Weed matting is effective. It's just not a miracle solution forever. Like with most things, you still need regular maintenance. Eventually it will need to be replaced. Even when I used it with stone, eventually weeds find their way to grow in the stone as it collects dirt and debris.
This is bittersweet.. you can see whoever lives here, at one point was an avid gardener, now they are unable to..Hopefully they are able to enjoy their once loved garden again, despite any physical limitations. What a fabulous restoration.
That baby mower is a force to be reckoned with. Your videos make me have the urge to buy every piece of lawn care equipment, that I can’t afford. 😂 Great job!
That’s the best transformation on YT! Amazing hard work, very well done and you went back for round two and it looks perfect. Those vines are scary. Soo much! Pulling off the roof it just kept coming.
