These have a heating element wrapped around the tank. Looks like it had thermal run away from the temp sensor being disconnected. I would try unplugging the heating element from the board and plugging the temp sensor back in and seeing if it will clean again. I had a knockoff vevor ultrasonic cleaner from ebay that did this, although it didnt get hot enough to change the metal color. I still use it 2 year later.
Looks like the thermal probe has fallen off. Check which board the fan is connected to and chances are that's where the header is for the thermal probe. The circuit may be in protection mode keeping it from operating since it doesn't see a thermal probe connected. Hope you sort things out or just have it checked and fixed locally.
I tried this at home and got exactly the same results, really noticed the difference with songbird. What sample and bit rate we’re you using in Hijack for saving Dolby atmos? I just stuck with 48/24bit
Thanks for the really informative video!! Much appreciated. I am thinking about getting one of these for my Amiga 1200 however someone has told me these Extrons do not like lo resolution signal inputs, well stuff as lo as Amiga games etc. I don't know anything about the Apple II so I was just wondering what kind of resolutions the Apple II puts out and whether or not it would be a good to base my decision on the fact that it works perfectly for you. I know you mentioned Atari ST so that is also encouraging to here but I'd still like to know how lo of a resolution the Apple II puts out to compare. Thanks.
Hi, this is so cool! Do you know if the vga to DB-15 adapter is just wires inside? Do you have a pinout? I just ordered the Extron unit and I'd like to make the VGA to DB-15 adapter myself.
That looks terrific! But, according to the Extron documentation, the unit isn't compatible with 15kHz video input. Am I missing something, or is the documentation incorrect?
