Don't forget that the boab trees in Western Australia are the exact same genetics on the ones in Africa. They can't get here unless someone brought them and who'd carry seeds across the other side of the world to propagate?

What do their tracks look like. Is it possable that they float. Dingoes know they leave tracks. Maybe tigers know and that is why they float. T

Everyone always talks about someone that dies say “well I know he’s up in heaven doing so and so”. Well when they say that about Steve he is one of the very few you can absolutely bet without a shadow of a doubt where that statement is true

All of these sightings but no tracks. There is the story on the cape, from a friend, of a hole in his chook pen. Adamant that it was not caused by a python. an animal had forced itself through heavy mesh. It was at night and moved very fast. Before dawn and it was raining. Previous there was a sighting in the area. If they exist they may be like the dingo that know they leave tracks. I would like to know what or if the land aborigines know of the animal. Maybe they are not talking of this knowledge and who could blame them. T

Just a psa that form of "milking" for venom is extremely dated and disgusting. Also love the fact that the so called "experts" are just pissed off people are collecting them before they are... how about everyone just leaves the wild ones alone.

Black leopards are quite rare due to a recessive gene they have. If these 'big cats' are breeding in the bush - where are all the regular spotted leopards.? They would out-number them 20 to 1. Also, where are all the kangaroo carcasses stuck up in trees.? Feral cats can get as big as foxes, but they don't get up to 100 kilos. I've hunted through this country for decades & never seen or heard a leopard.

The killing behaviour he describes sounds like a thylacoleo, actually, ESPECIALLY the flesh 'cleanly sheared off', no doubt as if by scissors? Check out the dentition on a thylacoleo skeleton! This might seem far fetched were it not for some VERY clear sightings of jet black creatures that were NOT cats but in fact more like huge ugly possums but could be easily mistaken for such at a distance. See Dennis Wright's little book 'Thylacoleo Lives' for more.

There’s massive areas that they could be doing well as natives have said to Forest the top guy looking for them and endangered to one’s thought gone if he finds a lead , Just saw him the other day in Australia , I spaced his last name , French sounding though he looks Scottish 😅! Had shows or specials on tv and on Joe Rogan speaking on a multitude of topics and he is in the midst of generating a pretty big amount for a excursion proof he says of them with some tribes . Or seen regularly too. Hope they can find and help them come back . A good movie with William Defoe of Platoon fame and many more hits in the movies as he goes there to try and find one and others want the DNA for what’s unprecedented and a huge step towards a cure or something, Saw bits of but looked good . Sam O’Neil in it too of Jurassic Park .

A wonderful, informative, funny, sad documentary. I'm writing a book about the TV series "Boney", which was produced by Lee Robinson, the man who went to find Lasseter's body for a TV programme (and ended up arrested for having dug it up!). Robinson's friend Nosepeg guided him to the burial site and claimed that he and his father had found Lasseter either dead or dying, long before.

My brother in law lives in Strathbogie, Victoria, and he has seen a black panther at a distance. He explained that he was standing on his property and was looking across to a hill, on the hill was a tree, and this panther stretched itself, placing its front paws on the tree. He later went to this tree, which was a fair distance away. He wanted to see the scale of the tree, because this cat looked the size of a panther. When he got to the tree, he realised that he was correct, that in order for the cat to reach where it did, it had to be the size of a panther. He is 100% convinced that he saw this, and has spoken to many locals who have lived in the area their entire lives. He found that the locals have also heard about many sightings of a black puma, and that it is believed that it was let loose or escaped from the American military that brought Pumas to Australia during World War Two, as their mascots. He now believes it’s a puma or a descendant of the original pumas that have bred with large feral cats. I believe him, he has no reason to lie about it, nothing to gain, he wasn’t able to get video or a photo, as he didn’t have a camera or phone with him at the time. He’s actually the kind of person that rarely carries a phone, let alone a modern one, he’s of the older generation. I believe that he saw a wild cat of some type that was so big, that it reached a part of the tree that no regular cat could reach by stretching.
