I had the Mackie ProFX30... toss it. Noise floor 👎and the A/D converters don't cut it. Get an interface and an analog mixer with low noise and won't color the sound. Sorry
Is this career profitable? I’m an audio engineer have have 10+ years doing studio work ( tracking and mixing). Looking for a change and want to get into working in film industry.
Really, I need to look into that. When you look at my other videos on my channel do you need to crank the audio up. Please look at my current videos and let me know. Thanks
@@cameraheadstudios I'm not watching your other videos. The music in this video is too loud compared with your almost whisper on this video. It's exactly the kind of problem I was trying to solve by watching your video.
Yup! Exactly why I just bought a NT1 Signature Series a few days back. I already have an NT-2A and an NT-1 4th gen, but when I bought the NT2A, it came without any accessories, and was looking for the cradle and pop-shield anyway, so the mic was just a bonus. Oh, and the other reason is that I wanted a red microphone when I saw it. Every home should have one. 🙂
Thank you! Im on my DJ channel right now but I'ma Filmaker/DP and need a3rd. I've always liked this camera and never had the opportunity. Looking between this and a C100mk2 or C200
Nice, I've not seen this camera so pimped out. I have a few of these bits but in different guises. I have the Black Magic 4k Assist and the zoom rocker. I have been looking at the wireless transmitters though I've not got a use case just yet. The most recent gig I could have down with is something to prompt lines to the talent as they struggled to remember a sentence :(. Though In saying that, it is difficult at times when a camera is pointing at you.
Ah the irony, but a great deal for many. I've had my Atomos Ninja V since 2021, so I'd already paid to unlock ProRes RAW and H.265. However, I've done the base AtomOS11 upgrade and also did the $79 "OS11 Feature Pack" purchase. For those that have not yet purchased either codec, the OS 11 Feature pack purchase is an easy cost savings choice.
I have this camera with a 7" 4k Black Magic Digital Assist. It's a decent camera though I use my Lumix S5IIX more often now. I still use this for Podcasts and when the format and long zoom can be utilised. In daylight conditions the image is still very usable.
@@cameraheadstudios hopefully for another few years at least. I really want a camera with this format and fixed lens with the same video capability as some of the latest Mirrorless jobs. Full frame too :D
I still have mine. Used still fetch very high prices. I’d love a upgrade. A GH6 sensor. 6K 4:2:2 10bit and a much faster bit rate. Since memory cards have become so fast since this camera came out.
reviews on the H4essential are not great. You may want to look into Zoom F3 if two tracks are enough, or Tascam X6 with four inputs, kinda like the H4essential.
Thanks man. The H series definitely has some serious upside as far as portability goes. In fact if you're only using a set of Clippys, I'd say go straight to the F3 and be done with that. I use my F3 with a set of LOM Usi Pro mics and it does a wonderful job every time. And it all fits in a small sling bag.
I bought the mic like yestrday for a cheaper price and it's coming tomorrow and I am super excited as I've heard that it sounds the same as the 5th gen but without the 32 bit float depth
@@cameraheadstudios yeah, I'm currently at -19 but have maxed out the gain, just need to find a way to get it slightly louder without being too distorted
Every time I use the multimeter and play through, all of the levels go back to zero as soon as the video is done…it’s not showing the overall loudness at all
@@cameraheadstudiosevery one of them…not sure what’s going on. It’s like it’s not measuring anything. It shows the levels in real time while the audio is playing, but as soon as it’s over everything just drops. It doesn’t record the overall loudness of the video at all
@@cameraheadstudiosthanks man..yeah it just doesn’t work. Everything drops to -70 as soon as the video is done playing. It doesn’t show my overall levels at all. Cannot for the life of me figure this out.
Mines is doing the same. Just noticed I didn't change one of the settings to infinite, (the part that is set to 2s). I've not tried it yet but that might sort the problem?
Kinda bulky tho - makes more sense to mount an RTX with NPF (most in the market nowdays do that) and with a hot shoe to mount it either on camera or monitor. But its great that u still try to find solutions for DVX200
@@cameraheadstudios turns out for some reason my nt1 is not consortia me with rode connect but it is with rode central very odd but central Is way better in my opinion
I did the mod myself years ago. very easy. Especially the receiver that doesn’t need soldering. you can open the modded units and see what work they did on yours.
No, first you need tools, security torx tool for one screw, small screw driver, solder kit, really short cabled (open the RX unit you'll see) U.FL to RP-SMA Female Cable 2 per receiver (pop out stock, replace with this), RP-sma with no termination to solder to each transmitter antenna, test signal, this should take care of it. (only the TX needs soldering) @@cameraheadstudios
