But I will say that’s I’ve heard from a few different people and a few RU-vid channels that there’s been hunters studying deer with these bleat cans or whatever and when people use the cans they make the deer suspicious/alert/run. Because they notice even when you flip the can and it’s makes the noise. The noise is a little to long. They noticed the sound the can provides sounds like a warning call to other deer. That’s why the company that makes those cans started making the same type of cans but that produces and shorter grunt/call whatever. People have been buying the newer cans since they produce better sounds. I say if want to go ahead buy it. If you have one of the original cans like in the video shown. You can blow into the can like he is doing but instead of doing long calls. You do short bursts or whatever. I just figured I would comment this so people could figure out about it. Is it true. I don’t know. It makes sense sorta. I would look up more about this. I hope everyone has a great day or night. Whenever you are reading this. And happy hunting

Short bleat for mating and long bleats for distress.

Not sure if deer behave a little differently in different areas, but I promise anywhere in my county they're not even gonna look, but start sprinting when they hear that sound. People literally do what you're doing during drives out here.

I think I understand what your saying. I’m kinda confused cause of the way your comments worded. Idk. Maybe I’m just slow. @@jacobdalton790 People use those cans to flush deer from cover during drives out here. It's one of the most high pressure areas in the country, and most advice you see from hunters in other states is stuff that'd only work on a game farm up here (or a fawn). I'm slowly coming to the realization that in many states, especially down south, that the deer there are hardly under much, if any, pressure and they act accordingly. Many of those hunters confuse a positive response with an investigative one. Just because a deer showed up doesn't mean you perfectly mimicked one, it was likely trying to figure out what that noise actually was. I'm good friends with a guy that lights up a cigar and deer show up like clockwork trying to figure out what the smell is and he doesn't even practice good wind or scent control. But, you know, that's down south. It's just different. Loud blind calling, decoys, decoys, rattling antlers, snort wheezes, bottled scents, and candied bait piles just spook them up or train them to avoid the area in daylight hours up here. Now, that being said, none of this means that the guys down south are poor hunters, can't feed their families correctly, or that they can't shoot, scout deer, and set up a proper ambush. Legally getting a deer is still legally getting a deer. All I'm trying to say is that just because they have had success doing a certain tactic doesn't qualify them as a subject matter expert, deer whisperer, proper caller, or master hunter. And just because success was had doesn't mean someone understands why it works, only that it led to food on the table.

I have back when I didn't know more about calling. I think it must've sounded like a fawn in distress OR it was peak rut and the bucks didn't care about distress and just heard a doe and were gonna risk it
