Mindful movement. It’s at the core of why we do what we do at Alo-it’s our calling. Because mindful movement in the studio leads to better living. It changes who yogis are off the mat, making their lives and their communities better. That’s the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.
Loved the explanations, calmness, clarity, and flow. Sometimes it's hard to know what to do cause you can't see the screen, but because you explain everything so well I can follow through. I love how you remind us to check certain muscles and parts of the body throughout, cause I fix my pose and realize how much more strength, stretch, and balance it gives me. Excellent, truly!
A truly very useful and effective practice for opening the hips. A real pleasure to do this practice and Kylan is a really good yoga teacher. Thank you so much 🙏 Namaste
A splendid practice. Extremely effective. Unfortunately these days I have severe contractures in my quadriceps, which is why I felt a bit of pain. I also suffer from foot cramps. despite all this I managed to reach the two front splits. A little easier with the left leg forward, but it doesn't matter. It is normal to have one part of the body more flexible and mobile than the other. Consider that I am a very rusty over forty year old. Thank you so much🙏 Namaste
Amazing as always. But this preaty old practice looking at us at the height of the poor, pushing us to belive in our self encoaraging us the gain the speed of light which somtimes seems to us that this the speed needed to reach the yoga level that demonstrated in the practice. It's the best mind training I have experianced lately. Thanks a lot!
Recently wanted to do a full 7 chakra series and came across this one. The root chakra was intermediate mostly due to the speed of the flow, but doable for me, though I'm not the most flexible, but have been casually practicing yoga for years. This sacral class was definitely advanced and I ended up just ignoring the video and doing my own yoga routine about halfway through as the binds and postures were too much for my body and there were no clear modifications offered. I don't mind coming up with my own flows and do it all the time, but intentionally sought out a video series in order to try new routines and give my brain a break. I also wanted to connect to the chakras and have that guidance while practicing. While it's a great routine for many, for me, it offered very little except for an opportunity to sit on the mat, watch the instructor become a pretzel, and just try not to judge myself for what I cannot do. I would just suggest labeling the video as advanced so people can be informed before hitting play, and maybe keeping the whole series consistent, as day one was not nearly as intense as day two. Thank you for the yoga ideas! I will look for another series to continue the chakras though, because I just want to find a challenge that is more at my level. 🙏🥰
I have really tight hips and also have a right hip injury that will flare up often. This hip stretch give me intense relief and i do it often. I am truly so grateful for it! Thank You Alo and Caley! 🙏
