Ian Chesterton was as more humorous as Steven when I met them watching the show, Cavemen, Voord, Aztecs, Koquillion, Daleks, The TARDIS, Shrink Poisoning, Mechanoids, Dracula, Romans, Robo-Doctor, Etc. We shall miss you William Russell You Legend!
I love how Rogue didn't understand what a scandal two men dancing together in the Early Modern Era would cause. Sort of like today in the American South.
I hope, hope, hope the Doctor will be able to find Rogue again next season (I mean, next episode would work too, but I'm trying to at least give them a realistic timeline 😂). Their whirlwind romance was so cute, and this song works so well for them! ❤️
A beautiful tribute to a talented actor and a genuine gentleman. He was there near the show's start, and he was there at his end. Thanks...and rest easy, me old soldier.
He and Barbara were the first to discover the crazy old man in a box but the actor behind the mantel Ian Chestin made this character stand out as a sharp wit and clever person of course when he meets the doctor for the very first time his wit and knowledge was outdone by the intelligence of an old man who wasn't easily interested in cleverness of others. It was as the two got to know one another and eventually became friends though the doctor still sometimes left Ian worrying about his and Barbara's returning home which they did. William was such a gentleman and kind man his longest-running companion in Doctor Who. His appearance in this series and returning appearance will not be forgotten. I hope a deduction for him will be in this next Doctor Who episode. And his other work on screen not just Doctor Who of course. I did wonder if he was in the armed forces or navy during the 2nd World War. And one curious thing I did read about him was he might have been offered the biggest role of his career as James Bond or Simon Templar. I recall he appeared in The Sanit and he also appeared in The Avengers TV series.
It was fun Ian Chesterton you had all the fun you had with the Doctor, Barbara, Susan and Vicki and I know that no one will ever forget you and your time in the TARDIS with your friends/family. Now you are at peace and we will always remember you and miss you so much. Rest in peace William Russell our Ian Chesterton ❤️❤️ have all the love from Doctor Who fans and Doctor Who family 🥰🥰😢🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️🤗
Ian Chesterton remains such an iconic part of doctor who! I remember hearing sarah jane mention him and Barbara in an episode of the sarah jane adventures and being really curious to find out more about them and their connection to the doctor! I've seen some clips of him on RU-vid from the classic era of doctor who and watching him return for the companion support group in The Power of the Doctor was so special! 😢😊 RIP William Russell ❤❤
