It is a misconception that Amritdhari Sikhs needs to retain all body hair. Kesh means uncut head hair only, the concept being one of equality as both men and women can grow long head hair. Singhs are expected to keep beards to show masculinity and maturity. Women do not have to keep facial hair if they don’t want to - the word for all body hair is ‘roam’ and Guru sahib did not use this word.
Kesh only means uncut head hair and is applicable for those who have taken the Amrit initiation. Guru Gobind Singh Ji instructed those who took Amrit to keep uncut head hair (Kesh) to show equality as both men and women can grow long head hair, it is also there to identify men and women who are initiated (as with the other 4 k's). Singh's (male Sikhs only) keep beards (Dhari) out of tradition, to show masculinity, to give a majestic appeal and as an act of defiance against a Mughal edict that stated only Muslims men were allowed to keep beards. Guru Gobind Singh ji, did NOT instruct women to keep beards and moustaches as technically speaking Women don't have them, the bum fluff around a woman's mouth, hardly qualifies as a beard that Singh's grow. The word for all body hair is ‘roam’ and Guru sahib did not instruct people to keep their ‘roam’. Also, Kesh is not kept for spirituality, it is there for identity only. The GGS is like an ocean of spirituality but it does not instruct one to keep Kesh for spiritual growth.
Mil satsangat waheguru gaye... Aao sakhi har mail kareya main aukhadh mantar dije gur pure... Main har har naam udhare jio... Vahegurooo vahegurooo............
Separation from Waheguru akaal purakh is biggest pain in human heart. Recite Gurbani in the dawn meaning chant waheguru vaheeeguroooo repeatedly makes you hard as Rock. The glass of Austin breaks and he becomes rich by selling glass. Literacy is the biggest gift you can give to anyone. Focus on cloud.
I am not a sikh , but i do path 3 times , I followed sikh religion since 2017 , I do mool mantra jaap , I wear kada , so can I wear kirpan also for sefty ?
You need to wear all 4 articles, follow all of the rules of that khalsa , and do the prayers . Before considering wearing a kirpan. Furthermore you must have near future intention to take amrit. Otherwise you can not. Not everyone can handle or has the right mind set to have the right to wear the kirpan. You need to at least follow the full rules before even practice wearing a kirpan. But if you can do the Amrit ceremony asap
