The local reef is actually the best place to snorkel as the variety of fish is quite incredible for such a small reef. We saw reef sharks (really small and harmless), a turtle (it was pretty big and AWESOME) and pretty much every fish from Finding Nemo apart from Nemo himself lol People who went on snorkelling trips said it wasn't as good as local reef. Night snorkelling trip was very interesting and is recommended. Snorkelling with manta rays is a must! Enjoy your trip, it is a paradise.
Hi, we are going to this resort in summer. I was wondering whether you could recommend good snorkelling places to me? Are there any good ones on the island or do we need to book a trip off? Also, was most of this film recorded whilst snorkelling/scuba diving and is a scuba dive worth the money? Thanks!

Amazing stuff. Go to the Crete is fabulous page on facebook for more like this. We have this page to try to get more tourists to come here (to Crete) as the media is saying Greece is unsafe. Lovely place. My favorite area west crete. Was nice to see you got your moneys worth from the hire car. Its a fantastic island to explore, the weather in uk is terrible at moment really wish I was in crete now. x
