So I throw a 360 Chickenwing, I have a lot of torque in in my throws, I hav tendency of slower discs dump over but I'm trying to figure out how to get more distance with hyzer flips, etc.. any suggestions?
man this is an awesome explanation. I am always trying to pick up more tips and this was so helpful! I really like throwing putters as much as I can on the course and will be trying these tips. Thanks
Beautiful explanation about off-axis torque and why you don't want it. Always important to work those putters in so you can become a more buttery thrower!
It looks like you are keeping it flat to avoid off axis torque... What about keeping it nose down? Is pushing the nose down going to make a wobble, or is that just the alignment (twist) of the wrist repetitive to the forearm? Or is that relative to the plane of the shot/pull line?
Keeping the nose down is always a good thing. As I mentioned, you are never going to perfectly match the angles but getting them as close as possible is the key to success!
But one more thing to note, it's important to match the angle no matter what type of shot you're throwing. If you're throwing a hyzer or an anhyzer, you still wanna match that angle
I enjoy slowing a Video down to see if a long Putt or Approach exhibits a Positive or Negative off Axis Rotation. I feel that a Positive type of Off-Axis Rotation is better since the Disc doesn't want to go Peel off early from the Target Basket.
Great video! I wanted to point out some things that don't seem to get a lot discussion online, regarding wobble. Eliminating wobble comes from having the angles aligned, as you point out. But the way to do that is at the hinges. The elbow rotates the forearm, the shoulder rotates the upper arm. I drop my elbow, creating wobble, and I've been working on fixing that at the shoulder. Super hard to do if you have bad muscle memory ingrained. Anyhow, I also want to point out a video I made on this issue, that I think helps to explain it. I think this is a very common problem and too many people address by simply curling the wrist. While that minimizes the issue, it doesn't solve the actual swing plane issue, which needs to be addressed independently of wrist angle, because it's a forearm and upper arm angle problem. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zTXTNauAczM.html
They are more similar now especially on hyzer. I prefer the champ mamba but the hades is very good thrown high and flat it will really glide far right. The Zeus will turnover bad if any headwind. Destroyer loves a headwind
I received this one as a Test unit from Discraft directly. I did purchase a max weight one from Paiges website also, but I didn't get that until yesterday.
