He has cultivated his experience and techniques into a successful training curriculum that has benefited dogs and owners all around the world. He continues to be an innovator in the industry, setting standards for specialized training, behavior modification, and the development of working dogs. He has an extensive track record in canine protection sports, most recently winning a Regional Championship for French Ring in France, and remains active coaching competition teams internationally. Moral of the story isssss. Don’t get a dog you can’t handle. And don’t put a big dog on the leash with a LITERAL CHILD. Like I understand if it’s a small dog that most any child could control. But in the last video I think that was a fully grown black lab. What child do you think is going to be able to pull the dog back if it starts pulling? WHICH IS THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE LEASH

I trained my late dog (35 kg mixed wired hair Vizla) to hide safely when the 💩 hits the fan and let mommy (me, then 50 kg) handle the hard stuff. He was my pet and I protected him. His job was to be loved and enjoying his life. But there are a lot of povs I guess.. 🫶🏼
Well I got 2 rottie labs, one is part cane corso as well, and while they are not real protection dogs they will protect me at all times, but I will protect them at all times as well and will not put them in unnecessary danger.
That dog booked it, it's probably a good thing he got off the road that fast, but it's kind of crazy that even after rolling like that he had no hesitation, no shock, nothing at all, just an automatic running response
Not sure why anyone would seriously own a "guard dog". They look impressive in controlled training environments but even the smartest dog that ever lived still has the emotional processing of a child and doesn't understand what getting shot means. How often do you hear about trained "protection dogs" failing to yield or attacking their handlers... pretty damn often considering the dogs aren't leaking bodycam footage or going to the press.
My dog is my spoiled baby and he is trained to bite somebody's face off if they get too close to me with bad intent. My dog actually is my protection dog
I agree. Dogs have partnered up with humanity for a long time, so its easy to misunderstand what our relationship is. I think most dogs can help protect you, somehow. Having a buddy with an extra set of eyes and ears that can yell about stuff is very helpful when you understand each other, but asking that buddy to fight instead of me? Nah.
Meanwhile when my neighbors 2 highly aggressive german shepherds somehow broke a hole in my fence and entered my backyard to attack my golden retriever, my saint bernard takes them both on and sends them yipping with their tails between their legs. It aint her job but damn shes a reliable Saint Bernard.
Dogs are to notify you that some danger I around or something sounds wrong, smells wrong, or looks wrong..at which point you are to go get your gun to shoot or running shoes to start running fast..nobody will sneak up on you..
My dog is NOT a guard dog! She is my spoiled baby. She is the friendliest dog I have ever had and doesn't even bark at someone knocking on the door. I love her! 😂❤️
So I have a reactive dog and we put the couch opposite from the window. It's also higher than what she can access so she can't look outside the window unless she's on the couch. Idk if maybe tacking down curtains so they can't get to it might help?
@@user-by6mq3xb8pI’ve tried closing blinds, putting something to block the window. If he can’t see out of the window, he’ll try to focus on his hearing abilities and even slightest sound will trigger him. Once he is triggered, he’ll not respond to anything not even his favorite treats or commands.
